3 stars for the moment until I get it installed. This is my initial thought on the rack. Packaging was so awesome, It took 20min just to get everything unwrapped to make sure I had all parts from both boxes. This was ok, I don't mind good packaging! I loved the textured look and feel.... I was getting really excited to get this thing on! So, obviously what's the next step?...instructions.., as suggested, I started reading the install instruction before getting right into it.....good thing I did! I did not realize that this rack cannot be installed to the back bumper if it's OE. If you have an aftermarket or no bumper at all, than it will fit,(check if your aftermarket bumper will allow this rack....it may not). So, if you have an OE back bumper, you have to install it to the body of the jeep by drilling a couple holes by the tail lights. Now, to me, this way is not as strong or would not hold the same weight as direct attachment to the bumper?! Seems a little cheesy to me but hey this is my first jeep and first roof rack so maybe I'm wrong but I'm hesitant to start drilling into the body of my jeep only to realize it limits the load capacity. I will update more once I start installing to see what happens. Oh, one more thing.... page 6 in the instructions says to spray and wipe the rack occasionally with WD-40 to keep it in tip top shape, do NOT use an abrasive WAX product........continue to page 8 and it says to keep your rack looking like new WAX it often. REALLY ? What is it? WAX on or WAX off? After lengthy thinking, I've decided to hold off installing this as I have some LED lights I want to install on the rack. The lights should be installed with the rack since all the wiring goes through the tubes and I have read others' reviews that you do NOT want to be taking this apart after you install. I don't have all the switches and wire yet for my lights so this install will have to wait. Also, I guess I don't read everything at first but this roof rack does not have any cross members or bars. What is the purpose of this if you can't store stuff on top? Guess I'll have to find some cross members to fit now. What did I get myself in to? Edit - Sept. 2018. So had the rack on for a year now and it is a really good rack. I mounted to the body after talking with the manufacturer and they said the load capacity will be the same either way you mount it. After all is tight, this rack is SOLID! very happy with it, the only and biggest downside, (hence only 4 stars), there are no cross members!! This drives me nuts......to this day, (1 year later) I'm still trying to find some decent ones that will fit and match the color, shape and texture. ... show more

Be careful very misleading showing a picture of the entire roof rack at the time of ording. Turns out I just purchased the useless portion of the rack at a price comparable to other entire roof racks.
