I wasn't very impressed with this fan for the price. I wanted it because it had a remote controller with it. I also like a little white noise and the sound was kind of weird. Also, for the price it didn't impress me. It was made with a cheap material. I would spend your money somewhere else.

Good product, however it suffers from a few things and that's understandable seeing as this isn't the most expensive of their products. I used to have a Lasko box fan that lasted a solid 10 years, (this thing was a beast, it took falls from every height, it was all cracked, made noises, I mean a real zombie looking thing with missing handles and, duct tape, and everything.) At that point - and probably should have happened earlier - I threw it away (still miss it every day). I changed it for this, trying to upgrade and all in all, it's ok. It's good but it has a couple of slight annoyances - at higher speed levels, this thing is decently loud (if you like white noise, then you'll be fine with it.) The biggest con is probably that its not easy to clean, you have to unscrew about 8 screws on each side, which is fine, but tedious. It does put out a decent amount of wind though. ... show more

    • STRONG cool air = lifesaver!
Let me start off by saying this fan is AWESOME!! Here’s why: I have a bedroom that gets very little airflow from our AC vents so while the rest of the house is cool—even downright cold on other floors, my bedroom is stifling. Miserable! I can NOT sleep when I’m hot (I like to sleep in 70 degrees, which is the temp of the rest of our air conditioned home at night, yet my bedroom clocks in between 80-84 at bedtime. This Godforsaken room just won’t cool. I think I’d probably want to sell this house if it weren't for the Lasko Hybrid fan! I already own a Lasko Hybrid fan very similar to this that I bought a couple years ago and it’s been fantastic! So powerful and cool. So when I wanted to add another one to cool the other side of my bed on these hot summer nights, I discovered they no longer make that particular model (though I honestly can’t imagine why they’d cancel such a great product). After some serious research, this seemed to be the most similar/comparable fan I could find and I was almost scared away by the lack of reviews available and the less than perfect number of stars it scored. I’m o glad I didn’t let that scare me away!! I trusted it would be like my old Lasko Hybrid fan and it doesn’t disappoint!! Now, I don’t love the cheap looking black and white 80’s esthetic but the strong cooling power is ALL there and that’s what I’m desperate for! As I mentioned, I use them in my bedroom and I like that the fan’s height clears my very tall bed. This fan is admittedly a little on the louder side (which is why some have given it a lower star rating, but I’ve never seen a TRULY powerful fan that’s not noisier. I question if it’s even possible to get that strong wind power without ummmm... the wind?? Which makes noise as it blows? In my case, it’s a trade I’m more than willling to make. I only use them at bedtime and I don’t mind the white noise at all. In fact, I think it probably helps as the continuous, ambient noise drowns out any disturbances. If you’re looking for a fan that blows powerful, cool air, this fan won’t disappoint!! The fact that you can get this power from a tower fan is impressive to me. Lasko did it again. This fan/blower is what I need . Perfect for a NYC apartment, it’s sleek not very large(39”tall) and not a bulky ugly fan with minimal power. I barely go past the 1st setting I can feel the breeze comfortably 15ft away on just the 1st setting. If you have pets that shed a lot(husky’s, rabbits) you may find yourself clearing the vents off every once in awhile. You don’t want to have that clogged up cause it’ll eventually strain the fan. I’m sure a vacuum will suck out most of the fur. Strong wind blower even better with the AC on . ... show more

I wanted this for white noise during sleep and it’s perfect for me. (My husband thinks it’s too loud) Certainly wouldn’t be able to use while watching TV, on a zoom call, etc. even on low as it has a “whining” sound but the cool air it puts out is AMAZING!

    • The perfect summer fan
My bedroom gets ridiculously hot during the summer and I have spent so many months finding the perfect fan to keep me cool at night. I’ve tried two other tower fans, and they were just whispers of air that didn’t provide any real breeze to keep me cool. I purchased a lasko pedestal fan before this and was thoroughly disappointed by its airflow. So weak! Albeit it was noiseless and great for night time. So on came this fan! First of all, I just wanna say I had a previous version of this model before that I gave away to my brother (what a mistake, I loved it even then). Since that older model it has been given a new paint job, modernized design, and 1 extra speed level. I must say this newer version is a lot more stylish and the white color fits my room very well. The airflow on this thing is massive and much stronger than the previous pedestal fan of the same maker that I bought before. The blower squirrel cage at the bottom sucks up the cooler air that resides on the floor and disperses it throughout the room in great volume. Out of all the fans I’ve purchased this one actually BLOWS. The only things I would change are giving it a wider oscillation and the fact that it is pretty loud. But sometimes we have to sacrifice noise level for power. ... show more
