When we remodeled our house we specifically put an air conditioning return vent on the ceiling near our wood burning stove. In the winter we use the air handler fan to draw the heat from the stove through the return vent and circulate the hot air around the house. The merve 13 filter is designed to filter smoke so by using the merve 13 we are circulating the heat from the wood burning stove ,and filtering out the smoke from the hot air, being circulated around the house. Works great and we rarely need to use our baseboard heat. A great savings in our heating bill.

I work with air pollution, buy these. Not only it's manufactured in Texas, but it's also the higher filtering for the cheapest price. You want to filter those smaller PM particles. I can only recommend it.

They are a little thinner than the original ones that came with my hvac unit. They seem to work fine and the fit was good. However, because they’re a little thinner I will change about every 6 weeks. Price was very good even for changing out that soon.

I haven't used these long, so can't review that. But getting this quality of filter at merv13 for the price, it's the best deal. Big box stores charge a lot for this level of filter. So far, air flow is great, it was the right size, and feels sturdy. Overall, great value!

This was my first MERV 13 use. The filters worked exceptionally well, but with such a high MERV value, they require more frequent changing. As a result, I went back to lower MERV value so I could change filters less frequently. That said, I was VERY satisfied with the filter. You could easily see they captured more crud that a lower MERV rated filter.

Bought Merv 13 on advice from technician that does maintenance on our heater. Unfortunately it was too strong, it started to bow in from to much pressure and I’m sure was stressing the heater. My fault, should have questioned him because I already knew what the system would handle. Had to order a lower merv rating that has a better air flow with my heater. We change our filters every 4-6 weeks for health reasons.
