This little devise has already paid for itself in its first use! My local mechanic is just way too expensive for a basic diagnostic, so I thought I'd give this a go. It pointed out a couple of possibilities - either a malfunction in the MAP sensor (which would have cost me about $130 in parts) or my air filter was clogged. Turns out, my air filter just needed a good cleaning! Where I live has dusty conditions, so it's not a surprise that I overlooked this. After getting this to hook up to the Bluetooth I did a scan and it was amazing the info that I got from the report. It actually told me every code the vehicle ever had. It gives you a report and tells you what needs to be repaired. It will also tell you on average what the vehicle may need in the upcoming year. I still need to use it more to get the most out of it but so far I am very impressed with it. Great value considering what it costs to repair vehicles now. ... show more

The initial set up takes awhile (updating/downloading software), but once it is set up, it recognizes your vehicle and runs a scan pretty quickly. Clears codes except those that are hardware related. Gives information on what each code is so you can deep dive into any fixes. What sets it apart is the price point and it's ability to recognize multiple vehicles instead of being linked to one brand. Software is user friendly and easy to use; downloaded on my iPhone (no extra charges or subscriptions). I like that there are no additional wires, uses bluetooth. This device is very small and plugs in under your dash to read the different maintenance and warning codes on your dash display. The app that you use with is also does not require you to subscribe or pay for full access, which is really nice! I plan on keeping this in my car and using it whenever I get one of those lights or codes on my dash display so I will know what the issue is when I take it to the mechanic for repair or maintenance. ... show more

Wow, this one does a lot. I have a couple of basic scanners and they just can read and erase the regular OBD codes. I have an airbag light on in my CRV and this unit was able to read the code from that module and reset the code. None of my other basic readers would read the SRS module. This is a great little unit and it is more than the basic readers but this one is worth it. Very good buy if you need a scanner. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I need a scanner of this type because when the check engine light comes on to review it, they charge me an average of 50 dollars, so with this device I will save that expense and I will be able to erase the codes once repaired, see possible failures and many more functions.
