Great looking product. Based on the reviews I read, I took some countermeasures to prevent the color from fading and dry rotting of the rubber. I first sprayed an adhesive promoter to the anodized pieces followed by 2 coats of clear coat. I also used a rubber protestant on the bands to address the dryrot/ snapping issue. ... show more

    • Rusty fasteners out of the box, but functional
Color: Red
First impression: The aluminum looks good, but the steel fasteners are clearly not stainless. Mine were already rusty before opening the package. If you want to prevent transferring that corrosion to your fender, you will want to replace the fasteners with Stainless, or look elsewhere. Installation is easy enough, as long as you have access behind where you're putting these. You'll want to follow this advice: Mount the lower piece first, then put the rubber band around that and pull up on the bumper to ensure that it comes up snug where you want it and then mark your hole location on the fender, otherwise if something else lets loose the bumper will sag due to the elasticity of the rubber band. This means that you may not end up with an even look. To get close, mine needed a 4 inch spacing to overcome the weight of the bumper with the band untwisted. ... show more

I installed these on a Chrysler 300c SRT8. I would drill the holes 60mm apart, that worked well for me.

    • Cheap solution to potentially expensive problem.

This is such a easy and cheap solution to my hanging bumper issue on my 2009 WRX. It would have cost me so much more to replace the wheel well skirts and bumper backing. The only thing is you have to not mind that it’s visible. But my issue has finally been solved!

    • The bands snap. They last maybe 5 min and just break.

After installing 2" apart and placing the band around both nobs, I stood back and said this looks great! Went inside to have a smoke, came out and BOTH BANDS HAD SNAPPED OFF! The nobs were still strong in place, but the black bands were broke. I bought 2 sets of these in hopes to do both bumpers. All 8 bands snapped in the same day! BS! ... show more
