Description

Ideas for your Home The success of the BLACK+DECKER brand over the years can be traced back to a consistent focus on consumer needs. Enjoy quick heating on 2 settings for optimal personal heating. Easy-to-use dial controls. One for thermostat control and the other for function and setting selection. Combining convenience with compatibility to provide easy heating & cooling where you need it. How is it powered? The space heater is powered using a standard 2-prong, 120V power cord and plug. Simply plug into any standard outlet. Where can I use this portable heater? This heater is made for indoor use and must have nearby access to a power outlet. Great for use on hard surface floors, desktops, counters and tabletops. Can this heat an entire room? No. 1500W space heaters are designed for personal space heating and are not powerful enough to heat entire rooms and large spaces. What is the purpose of the thermostat dial? After selecting a heat setting, using the thermostat dial will help the heater reach the desired temperature. The heater will cycle on and off automatically to maintain the selected temperature. Why is the power indicator light always on when plugged in? The purpose of the power indicator light is to notify users that power is being supplied to the heater. The front of the unit will illuminate when the heating element is active and available for use or in-use.

    • Great heater
Style: Infrared Quartz
Review Image by Moo
I got this for a very reasonable price through one of Amazon’s sales. We are having so much trouble with our furnace this winter that I needed something to help heat the house. This gives off a lot of heat and it can be adjusted to how warm you want it. On low it kicks when it starts to get chilly in here. On medium it stays on constantly with warm heat coming through. High heat is very hot so I don’t use that setting very much. At first when you turn it on it’s a little loud but quiets down after a few mins and you can still hear it but it’s not crazy loud or anything! So far it’s working great! ... show more

    • good and cheep, but has a noticeable fan noise
Style: Infrared Quartz
Will heat a good size room. The fan motor is a little noisy so it should not be used in a room where that my be a problem or where tempure variations are a problem

    • Do not waste your money on these heaters
Style: Infrared Quartz
I bought two of these and just started to use them. The cords are very temperamental: the machine will turn off and will not turn back on if you try to relocate it; it also may not turn on when the ambient temperature is cold; one machine is worse (not working most of the time) then the other. I am so frustrated that the money is wasted. I own one (different company) and has worked very well since last year. The low quality of these two heater is very disappointing. Unfortunately I passed the “free” return timeframe, going to contact Amazon customer service to see if there are any option. ... show more

    • BEST Infared Heater
Style: Infrared Quartz
Over the past 3 years- I bought a similar infared heater at Odd Lots @$45- price was right- but it was always a little " tinny" in manufacturing- it would last 18 mos. NY Winters are big or bust- However- the cool Fall days hit 72 & drop to 62 or even 55..so picked B& D brand- because they are reliable & paid the full price & Highly recommend It. Did not disappoint We've been running it on Lowwith thermostat set at med- high & It does not disappoint!! Fired up right away and the vertical bars produce MORE heat than any previous heaters. Ground floor apts tend to be colder & this baby melts the chilly nights & makes them toasty warm. Took a 3 yr warranty. Delivery was right on time and deelivered in shipping carton..showed made in China. I remember when B&D was american mmade- got it fast before the shipping strike ended. So if you are thinking about it- buy it- be happy and warm. I could not find this heater in any of the big name stores- so grab it while you can. ... show more

    • THIS HEATER IS GREAT!
Style: Infrared Quartz
Heater is great! 10/10 would buy again. It was used -- or at least purchased and returned -- and that was obvious from the packaging and the way the box was beaten up and re-taped. But the heater works great! I'm a little confused how Amazon delivered this "to the mailroom," as was noted -- since it was delivered to a house. And there is no mailroom. But it's not the first time Amazon's delivery "quirks" have confused me. ... show more
