The quality of the heater itself is decent and can be positioned upright or on its side. It can heat up a small to medium room quickly and the noise it produces isn’t unbearable. I bought this heater in May 2021 for $32, which was a great price. My main reason for purchasing was that I could have a safe supply of electric heat to use with my 3400W portable generator (safely hooked up to the house generator outlet & interlock switch). After widespread power outages during the Uri freeze in Texas, I want to have all my bases covered. During that storm lots of people got into trouble with carbon monoxide from fired appliances, when they didn't have a safe indoor supply of heat during the outage. It may be inefficient to run a heater with a generator, but at least we can sleep with zero fear of not waking up. The heater itself has some great features, and I love that it can run either upright or laying down flat. The shutdown feature is well thought-out as well: it shuts off the heating element, but the fan continues to blow for 15 seconds so that the front grill cools down a bit. The timer and remote work well. When in use, I typically run it on "eco mode" with a setting of 70F. I recommend buying this thing on sale after winter, ensuring proper function, and then placing in storage for the following winter. ... show more

I bought this heater because I liked the features and I am always cold here at work. I love the fact that it has the 15 sec timer to cool down when you turn it off and it remembers your settings when left plugged in. The main reason I bought this was for the oscillating feature but it does not work. I bought this brand new. I also do not like the thermostat 5 increment. Overall, it puts out good heat and it seems quiet and consistent and doesn't blow out too hard since it's under my desk at work and next to me. I haven't used the remote yet. The question is, how long will this heater last? The last heater I bought was in Feb. and it died. ... show more

If I could give it 6 stars I would. I haven't got the battery for the remote (funny flat round one) but otherwise this is one terrific little heater. Worth every penny. It heats up very quickly, is pretty quiet, cool feature that you can use it horizontally or vertically, and the controls give you lots of options for running it. I love the LED indicators on the top of it that let you know the status while it's running - helpful for figuring out what's best in the space you use it. I need a little extra heat in an office that is not covered well by the heating system in my 100 year old house. This does the trick and doesn't take up very much space doing it.     • Nice heat output but thermostat almost useless

This works well next to my desk in vertical mode -- it heats my legs nicely. However, the thermostat is ridiculous -- right now it is set to 55 F and blowing and the room is at 65 -- a 20 degree disparity is the norm. In my experience space heaters typically have terrible thermostats, but one can usually get around this and turn an inexpensive heater into a highly programmable, accurate appliance by using a separate outlet switch with temp / time control that you can find here. But that means the power supply is interrupted, and this unit does not return to operating state after a power interrupt. So it ends up being much less effective as a programmable room heater than a cheaper less 'sophisticated' model. ... show more
