Murder is brewing in Willow Springs...Lily Bennett has left her city life behind to pursue her dream: a custom tiny house and a charming coffee shop housed in a renovated Airstream trailer. With her loyal Australian Shepherd, Bean, by her side, she's ready for a fresh start in the picturesque small town of Willow Springs. But the morning after her grand opening, Lily discovers something that definitely wasn't on the menu—the body of local café owner Patricia Morris, face-down on the floor of Tiny Beans Coffee. • Wonderful First Book
Format: Kindle
Lily's story of opening a tiny coffee house and living in a tiny house is very entertaining. The characters seem real, and the plot makes you keep reading. It is also very well written, which makes for a distraction free read. I look forward to Book 2!

  • First in the series and off to a great start.
Format: Kindle
I enjoyed the pacing and the plot. There are enough secondary characters to make it interesting but not overwhelming. Charming setting.

  • Want more books in this series!
Format: Kindle
I really enjoy this series. The characters, plot lines/twists. Love the dog. Bean is cool, without being intrusive or too human-like. Sam is an amazing guy. Cool, calm and collected. My one and only complaint: too much mention of "tiny house". Author, really, it's okay that, once you establish it's a tiny house, you can just call it a "house", or my "home." Oh, yes, and how about a mayor that's honest? Smile. ... show more

Every one of your stories have been page turners. I actually read them from front to back in a day. Gripping from page one to very last page. And of course the animal detectives are heartwarming and wonderful. I’m an animal lover so each one of your books get me from page 1. Love your writing. I would give more * if I could. Totally recommend every series you have written. ... show more

  • Gripping Cozy Murder
Format: Kindle
This is a gripping cozy murder mystery. You will be sucked in at the beginning, life is so good. Our heroine, Lily, is moving and opening a coffee shop with her best friend, a dog named bean. Right away she meets a guy, Sam, in a very organic way, YES! Suddenly we are under suspicion for murder. Finding the culprit is tough, everyone has a reason to hate the deceased. There are red herrings everywhere. It gets hairier and scarier and suddenly bam we know who it is, but we have to make sure everyone sees the truth. A true page turner and highly recommended. ... show more

  • Enjoyable and Entertaining!
Format: Kindle
A good start to a new series. Lillie has moved to a small town to live her dream of opening a tiny coffee stand set up in a air stream trailer. A tiny coffee shop to match her tiny house. Things get off to a good start, but soon take a sinister turn when a dead body is found in her coffee shop on only her 2nd day. Her newly formed friendship with the local carpenter, along with a few others attempt to get to the real truth before her business closes before it barely got started. Fast paced, interesting. ... show more

  • Weirdly duplicative across the books
Format: Kindle
Having read all of these, my recommendation is to only read one or two of them if you have Kindle Unlimited. They're cute, a short easy read, and pleasantly written. Unfortunately, the books have a ton of weird continuity errors. The same murderer, with the same name and method, shows up in two of the books—not as a recurring villain, but as if the author(s) forgot they already used that idea. Two siblings suddenly become "no relation" in one book, but are siblings again in the next. In one book, someone who rode to the rescue with the protagonist asks, "How did you find us?" as if she were already at the scene. The same ideas are reused frequently across books. They read like a series of draft ideas that weren't meant to all be published. I don't know how that happens; possibly AI-written books, or just multiple authors with poor communication and tight timelines? My money is on AI. So, they ARE a cute, not particularly challenging read. But read one or two for free unless you have a good tolerance for lack-of-editing shenanigans. ... show more
