This isn't the sturdiest thing by far, but it holds the curtains and makes my bed fit for royalty. I have an adjustable bed, so looking at bedframes gave me pause. This was a great solution. it isn't quite a perfect fit, but I've covered the metal frame with enough frills I doubt anyone would notice. Not to mention it arrived SUPER early which I really appreciated. The frame isn't the strongest (the bars pop out of the elbows at random; like another reviewer mentioned, binding them with duct tape for extra sturdiness would be a good idea), but this is cheap and you get what you pay for. I deducted 1 star because despite saying it's made for king-sized beds, it's not large enough to properly fit around my king-sized bedframe (which isn't very thick or wide at all). Instead the feet of the canopy are further out, the top part of the canopy leaning inward, so the poles are at a subtle incline. This king-sized canopy frame would do better around queen-sized bedframes. ... show more

    • One wrong move and it’s over
The concept is good but it isn’t sturdy at all. The instructions weren’t clear but it wasn’t hard to figure out how to assemble. I’m not sure if it depends on the bed or what. But, even as I put it under my bed for support as written in the instructions, two of the poles leaned in.l (both on opposite side and one at the head and one at the foot). Even as I was trying to adjust it to keep it from leaning, it would fall apart in other areas. I’m really disappointed. I was hoping for a canopy and when I saw this product, I figured this was a no brainer for the price. But, in that case, you defogger what you pay for. ... show more

    • Perfect as a temporary mosquito netting frame

I brought some of my deck plants inside when our deck was being redone and, unbeknownst to us, they harbored mosquitos. After a few days of utter misery, I decided that mosquito netting was the best way to be able to sleep without being bitten up. But how? Well, this frame and some good mosquito netting are proving to be the solution my problem. The frame was easy to set up - in spite of not-so-great instructions. I taped the pipe joins with gaffer's tape because they slipped apart a little too easily. I had to weigh down the "feet" with bricks to keep them in place. It's not terribly sturdy and wobbles easily, so I don't think it would be all that great for a kid's room. I think it's a bit expensive for what it is, but I was truly desperate for a quick solution which it provided. This is a frame for quick, temporary fixes or decorating on a dime. It's not nearly sturdy enough to substitute for a real piece of furniture. It supports the mosquito netting, but I would hesitate to put any heavy material on the frame. Bottom line: It's perfect for what I needed it for, but I think it's fairly pricey for a wobbly metal-pipe frame. $50 would be the right price for this. ... show more

Despite all the flimsy bad quality reviews, I think this is a really good base for a DIY canopy project. I put the feet underneath the mattress instead of the bed frame for a better fitting and more height. I made it sturdy my taping down the base to the bed frame slats. Although the poles do look ugly, I think they are meant to be completely concealed by canopy curtains. ... show more

I love it! Is a good product! It was very easy to assemble, but I think it was a bit expensive. I read the reviews and was a bit worried because they said it was poor quality and weak, but the reality is that it has been installed in bed for 2 months and nothing has happened to it. To do the product justice, if you want to give a fairy tale look to your room you can buy it, but you don't have to hang on the tubes, because they could break, although this is known not for that. It came with a piece already slightly bent and within the first hour, my husband sat on one of the curtains and the pole folded like paper. EXTREMELY lightweight aluminum, not very sturdy attachments. Just generally cheaply made. It's also only JUST as big as the mattress and so I think you're meant to attach it to a bed frame? The feet on the base have holes in them like as if to screw them into the floor? The bed frame? Idk. It sucks, I don't like it. I'm shopping for something more sturdy immediately, it's too much of a pain to return so I guess it'll just act as a very delicate placeholder until a better one gets here. ... show more
