Description

Someone's stirring up deadly secrets in Willow Springs...When Lily Bennett agrees to provide coffee service for the annual Garden Festival, she's expecting sunshine, flowers, and a boost for her Tiny Beans Coffee business. Instead, she discovers the body of formidable Garden Club president Harriet Palmer floating in the ornamental pond. The evidence points to newcomer Fiona Mitchell, whose modern gardening techniques clashed with Harriet's traditional approach. But Lily's faithful Australian Shepherd, Bean, has his own opinions about who can be trusted—and his instincts have never been wrong. As Lily digs deeper, she unearths a tangled root system of motives reaching back forty years to the mysterious death of Harriet's sister and the sudden departure of wealthy businessman William Grant. Now Grant has returned to sponsor the festival, and Harriet's cryptic notes suggest she was about to expose long- buried secrets that someone would kill to protect. With her close friend Sam Cooper providing steadfast support, Lily follows a trail of garden tools, heirloom seeds, and threatening notes. But when the killer realizes she's getting too close to the truth, Lily finds herself in the crosshairs. Will her knack for brewing the perfect cup of coffee help her solve the case, or will she be permanently pruned from the investigation?"Grounds for Murder" is the third book in the charming Tiny House Coffee Mysteries series, featuring delightful characters, a quaint small-town setting, and just the right blend of danger and romance to keep you turning pages until the very end. • Enjoyable And Entertaining!
Format: Kindle
Who knew gardening could be so cut throat. Old feuds, long held grudges, sinister motives. All within the backdrop of a Garden Festival. Add in a murder and hidden agendas and you have one neck of a mystery. I am enjoying this series!

  • Meh
Format: Kindle
Have read 3 in the this series, they’re short. Liked the concept of tiny house and airstream coffee shop. Probably won’t read any more in the series. Overuse of “smile reached his eyes” or didn’t reach the eyes (got annoying after about the 4th time). Some of the writing seemed forced. Characters are kinda bland. Not bad but not great either. ... show more
