I adored this machine - until it stopped working 2+months after delivery & I received no help in fixing it. I believe I treated it well: ran it 3 times a week (however I did not use the fresh scent pads as I have animals & am afraid the fumes could be toxic to them - I am not stating Bissell has said this but I try to use all natural non toxic oils or just water when cleaning, as heavy chemicals can gunk up mechanics of certain appliances & is not bio friendly - just wanted to make that clear). I gave it the distilled/filtered water it claimed to need but also gave it cool down periods when doing the whole house (average to small size home) as the plastic (surrounding the heating unit) would be uncomfortably warm/hot - (This was never advised to do, but it made sense to do so). I only had the steam cleaner from Aug 22nd (delivery date) & the day the heating unit stopped was within the first week of November. I searched for every possible solution, made all phone calls to support, tech support, general support, ANY possible support I could get but they all gave the same recycled "answers" which you can find online. * * * It's important to know that even tho you may have a Bissell fixer near you, please know that they can only fix the "plastic parts" (as was told to me) "not anything that has to do with the electric devices." * * * Also, although I was not told this & it was not included in any information with my steam mop, when I attempted to return or have the device sent to bissell to be fixed they claimed you must have the exact box you received it in for them to accept returns or validate warranties. Receipts of purchase & payment & model numbers of the exact Bissell unit was not enough... I am so deeply disappointed. Perhaps I acquired a defective steam mop, (unknowingly refurbished or something ?) & it is not Bissell nor the sellers fault but someone must take responsibility. The price paid for it, while lower than other steam mops was nice, does not justify the money spent for such short working time nor the atrocious support from the seller to Bissell itself.

After a lot of research and actually buying a different mop and taking it back without even opening it because it wasn’t the one I really wanted and going back and forth between Hoover Floormate and Bissell I’m so glad I found this I found this after scanning amazon and googling and this had gotten off stains and gook that we couldn’t get off since we moved in and was probly there way before we moved in. We have really stubborn tile and grout that attracts dirt and stains easy and this has totally even cleaned that tile. We have 5 cats yes 5 and it has cleaned up hair and litter and that gunned litter that sticks to floors outside the litter box like the plague yeah this clean that up!! I KNOW CRAZY!!! This mop was well worth waiting all weekend for. My literal only complaint was the cord wrap holder came scratched but that could have happened In the warehouse and it doesn’t effect the use of machine it’s just cosmetic. Before this machine I was literally cleaning my floors on my hands and knees just to get that great clean I am 100000000000000% glad I bought this steam mop and it’s way more then a steam mop it’s a miracle worker!!!!.

Ok I read a ton of reviews before buying. The bad ones were either “it didn’t clean well” or “it stopped working”. If it stops working and I can’t get a replacement I’ll change my review. For those who said it doesn’t clean are either lazy, idiots, or wanting more than can possibly be expected This thing cleans everything. I bought this model for cleaning tile and grout. Its actually too aggressive and can disintegrate your grout quickly if you aren’t careful. Our tile was so filthy trying to clean with a swiffer for years that the microfiber covers clogged quickly and smeared the dirt around. A quick wash For the covers and another round with steam mop...beautiful floors I’ve used the attachments to clean the couch that my 1 and 3 year olds have destroyed. Spot cleaned stains on the carpet Easily wiped away muck in an exploded microwave. 10x easier cleaning of soap scum in a bathtub. All with zero chemicals, just tap water Buy it. They are amazing. Period

The first steam mop I bought was the Bissell 1940 PowerFresh Steam Mop Hard Floor Steam Cleaner, I really liked it but unfortunatly when I was frantically cleaning last weekend and it fell over and the cap on the bottle broke. I quickly ran to the store and bought the original shark steam mop... I didn't realize how great the Bissell was until I used the shark. So, I decided to give this steam mop a shot, and I'm SO glad I did. All the little attachments have helped me to get all kinds of things clean! I've cleaned the grout, the bottom of the baseboards, acrack between my toilet and the tile, plus I do a lot of DIY projects that can create tough messes that I used to have to buy special chemical cleaners to clean/ remove, but these little attachments have helped me almost effortlessly remove dripped grout, paint, caulk... I'm SO glad I bought this mop! I've only had it a week, I'm so hoping it holds up!
