It might as well be brand new, I’m very happy with this device and knowing that I’m keeping another device from just going to landfill is a definite bonus. I received my device with a battery manufactured on August 2024 with its first use on August 2025 and 100% battery health. Apple is not notifying any non OEM parts but I’m not sure whether that is a sign. I could not find any scratches, knicks, or bumps on this device and it functions as though it was new. Do be sure to tell Amazon about any concerns that you have as this is still not a cheap device.

Update: My IPhone in a month and a half is now 93% battery. Seems a bit low. I charge between 20-80%. My iPhone 12 Pro died on me on a trip back home from the beach two days ago. It got stuck on the reboot loop and never could get it out after trying just about everything except the battery change. Made the decision it was easier to go ahead and upgrade, so went with the 16 pro renewed with some hesitation. However, the phone arrived on time overnight and has no scratches anywhere on it. I chose the lowest storage they sell now in desert color. The screen and speed all work well. No glitches or issues getting it set up. The only thing that was sketchy to me is the fact that if you lose your phone or can't access it in some way like I couldn't .. it was super difficult getting past 2 factor authentications with banks and other platforms. So be aware that you should have a different backup should this happen. I don't use a laptop or any other computer outside of my phone and an older iPad. The iPad saved me.. but limited. I waited too long to change battery on this after four almost five years with it. Having said that, it took a whole day but got all my access back to my phone and recovered from the backup. The phone itself has no scratches I can see anywhere on it. Looks and feels new. The battery life came with 98%. The cycles were higher than other people posting here even though I paid for the premium highest quality used phone they had. It has 270 cycles. Consulting with AI it doesn't seem to matter as much. It seems to think the battery percent age maximum is more important. So the 98% is good. So I am pleased with it and now just playing with the new features of ios26 today getting things set up again. I’m absolutely in love with my new phone! The battery life is super long, with only 9 percent being used in about 2 hours, the quality of my camera is so clear, my volume is loud and can be extremely quiet when I want it, the side button is super handy to help me focus when I need it. If you do want something bigger, go for the pro max, but I didn’t care about the size. Of course, it is on the more expensive side, but the quality makes up for it. I also recommend the warranty, especially for a phone, when anything can happen in this day and age. I’m, personally, quite clumsy. The clarity of my screen is also very nice.

This phone looks great! It holds 100% battery charge, and had no discernible flaws on the exterior. My reason for giving it only 3 stars is that when I set it up using my old iphone xr to transfer all my data, it never gave me an option to set up face recognition, which you need for almost everything now. Going into settings, the option to do that wasn't even there. That meant I couldn't even reset the phone and start over. So I took another trip the Apple Store Genius Bar (I had exactly the same issue the week before with a renewed premium iPhone 16 plus that I bought from the same seller) and they had to use their magic to erase the phone and help me set it up. This is something they admitted they had never seen before, especially twice in a week. Otherwise, it's a great phone and now that it is set up I am really enjoying it.

The unit that I received seems almost brand new. There were no signs of physical wear, and I couldn’t find even a single minor scratch when I looked closely at the device. The battery was brand new, with 100% capacity left and a cycle count of 1! It’s not just the numbers: after more than a month of use, I can safely say that the charging performance and life of the battery are both excellent. The unit came in Amazon’s own box and was packed professionally. I was worried about this phone delivering sub-par battery life and user experience due to the mixed opinions about iOS 26. UI design is a subjective matter, so I won’t comment on it. However, I can confidently say that iOS 26 gives me excellent battery life and performs smoothly. The battery lasts for around 32-36 hours on an 80ish % charge with moderate use (instant messaging, browsing, YouTube, email, navigation, calling). I don’t wish to make blanket assurances about the new iOS, but I haven’t experienced any bugs, thermal issues or stability issues. Considering that there already are many comprehensive reviews of the iPhone 16 Pro online, I thought of writing a review focussed on Amazon’s refurbishment program rather than the product itself. I am glad that I decided to pay the additional dollars for the Refurbished Premium grade. For all practical reasons, I got a brand new iPhone 16 Pro for a decent price.
