I ordered this cordless vacuum for our pet-friendly Airbnb so guests can easily tidy up during their stay, and it’s worked really well for that purpose. It’s lightweight, easy to maneuver, and perfect for quick cleanups on both hard floors and rugs. Since we allow pets, having something guests can quickly grab to pick up dog hair or crumbs has been really helpful. The suction is strong for a cordless vacuum and it’s simple to empty the dust bin. The attachments are also useful for getting into corners or cleaning furniture. One thing to note is that you do need to make sure the battery is charged for a while before using it, otherwise it won’t run properly. Once fully charged though, it works well for quick cleanups. I can easily carry it upstairs, use it overhead for cobwebs, or clean under furniture without the back pain I used to experience with heavier models. The lightweight design makes it perfect for older family members or anyone with mobility concerns. The suction power is surprisingly strong for such a compact unit. I’ve had the corded Bessel for pet hair befor, and after years of it being a GOAT but clunky I bought this one. Pros: lightweight, versatile, battery isn’t too bad. Goes after hair like nobodies business. CONS: for whatever reason, if I use the handle button and not the touch screen to put it up to the highest level, it shuts off. Just completely crashes. Doesn’t always happen when I use the touch screen but ALWAYS happens when I use the trigger. So. Buy with caution. Maybe mine is faulty but it may just be a bigger issue. ... show more

I'm not a big fan of Bissell, but this little vacuum does a great job. I've used all sorts of vacuums over the years as a house cleaner, and this is one of the best ones I've had. Has very good suction. I would like to point out that some of the reviews on here are quite unfair. This is not some top of the line Hoover or Panasonic. Its a stick vacuum and it does what stick vacuums are supposed to do: vacuum hardwood floors. It is not meant for carpet, therefore does not work well on carpet. The Bissell Festherlight arrived tonight. With seconds of unboxing I quickly assembled it and I was vacuuming up crumbs in narrow spaces. The power of this stick vacuum is unbelievable. The unit lives up to its name. It is lightweight and canes with a carpet attachment, and a small focused attachment for getting into tight spaces.
