This bag is exactly what I wanted. I bought the black econyl with the black hardware, not the gold/brass. Brass doesn't fit my wardrobe color scheme. The interior is light grey, so the contents are easy to see. The pockets are well designed and I love the RFID features. I filled it with my kindle, phone, water bottle, snacks, lipgloss, passport, credit card case and there was still a ton of room. I could likely get my packable uniqlo down jacket in there too or a rain jacket in the backpack mode. I did not find the straps annoying at all in backpack mode. I got this for a 2024 trip to Europe but now that I've got it, I'll use it for city sightseeing in the US too. I think the backpack option would even be good for short 3mile hikes outdoors.

The zippers are terrible. The front pocket is completely useless since the zipper won't close unless the bag is completely flat. It's a cool feature that this bag is convertible but because the strap is not fixed to the bag, the strap gets caught in your hair when the strap slides around. Would not repurchase.

Best travel bag especially if you’re concerned about potential theft and pickpockets. It is quite easy to convert from a backpack, a shoulder bag to a messenger bag. Quite roomy too!

The media could not be loaded. This bag doesn’t work particularly well as a backpack or a cross body satchel. The backpack strap design is not user friendly and difficult to wear because it’s not symmetrical. There aren’t many compartments inside the bag. The flap in satchel format doesn’t like to stay put and doesn’t look neat. If you over fill it the flap will not stay down and you will have to convert it. Depending on contents, the bag doesn’t hold shape and either looks lumpy or limp. It’s ugly imo.

The openings are not at all intuitive. The front and the back open to the same pouch so what's the point? If anything is inside it, the fold over isn't effective because the magnetic clasp won't take hold. The openings are also not big enough to place passport, etc. without a struggle, making you a prime target while messing with trying to make things go in. I did like the material and it looked ok folded, but holds less than a hand purse.

Purchased this for a recent trip to Europe for the safety features and ability to be a purse & backpack since some museums do not allow backpacks. The safety features allowed me to just enjoy the trip. Gave it a trial on a domestic trip to know where I wanted to place items and to learn the zipper system. In purse mode, I was able to fit 3 - 5x8.25" thin books, silicone water bottle, small travel umbrella, small cloth shopping bag, pencil bag w/medicines & first aid items, mini hand sanitizer, pen, lip balm, snacks, Beats ear buds, charging cord, and external phone battery. Started the day w/1 book and the bag closed with the magnet. Adding the other two prevented the magnet from catching but I did not have to check the bag, which was my main goal. In backpack mode, looping the strap between both sections of the circle minimizing the strap slide. It's pretty water resistant. On the heaviest downpour days, I shared my umbrella so the bag wasn't fully covered but the items remained dry. An internal loop to attach keys would be great for the next version of this bag.

I love that it has all the security features that make it difficult to open but it is not user friendly when you need to get something out of it. The front pocket is tight. I had to wiggle my cell phone if I wanted to put in in that pocket. With the pockets at about the middle of the backpack if you put anything rather large into it you have trouble getting out what is in the pockets. If you fold it to use as a purse it has to be pretty empty if not the magnet clasp doesn't close. I am keeping it for trips but it will never be used at home.
