These things are AMAZING!!! Ever since I moved into my current house three years ago, my upstairs was like a blast furnace in the summer while my downstairs was like a meat locker. My house has a very simple duct running between the floors where all the vents come off of. So all the upstairs vents are on the floor while all the downstairs vents are on the ceiling. Warm air naturally rises while cold air naturally sinks. So while the upstairs vents were pushing cool air out, it stayed on the floor and was unable to mix with the hot air above - hence the insufferably hot summertime upstairs air. I tried fans that imitated swamp coolers which didn’t do anything, then purchased a $300 portable AC unit that I planned on putting in the living room but it didn’t work out. My wife actually discovered these on Tik Tok. I thought, well, they’re fairly inexpensive, and it’s a heck of a lot cheaper than our next plan, which was to install a split air conditioning unit which would have cost around $25k given the amount of units we would have needed. I purchased two of these and put them in the hottest room in the house, the living room. It felt like they were working, but it was already afternoon, the room was hot, and I really couldn’t tell. Kind of like if your car AC conks out and you’re asking yourself if the air feels cool or not. The next day, after the house had a chance to cool down, the effect was immediately noticeable. The upstairs is now extremely comfortable. I’d say the air temperature is at least 10 degrees cooler. The disparity between upstairs and downstairs seemed to be 15F-20F. Now they’re almost the same - maybe 3 or 4 degrees max. I can’t recommend these enough. If you’re in the same situation I was in, sweltering with upstairs floor vents yet freezing downstairs, or just sweltering because your vents are on the floor, don’t even think twice. Just order them and enjoy a nice cool house. They even have a coupon code if you order them in pairs as of this writing. By the way, I set the fan level to 7. It pumps enough air upwards to be effective without the overpowering noise. ... show more

If you are on the fence about these, go ahead and get them. The results we have seen are amazing. We actually just got a brand new HVAC system about eight months ago while it seems to work great, there was definitely not enough air being forced to the upstairs. We even had a new air return put in our bedroom to help suck out some of the warm air and while this made a small difference, the afternoon sun would still heat up the upstairs to were it was uncomfortable. Flash forward to two days ago and I bought these bad boys. Not only is the upstairs on average 4° cooler than a few days ago, my AC unit is running a better efficiency and is able to maintain a perfect temperature even in the hot afternoon sun (which is where it struggled). I love how each of these vents show you the temperature of the air coming out of it as well. It’s amazing to me that my air coming out of my bathroom vent was 52°, and yet it still wouldn’t cool off the room. Problem solved now, I seriously can’t explain just how big of a difference these have made. Pro tip: the instructions can be a little confusing as far as where to set the temperature on them. Honestly, just plug them in , put them in the register and wait for the temperature to be steady. Then just simply set the temperature for about 5° more on the fan no problems at all. Also, if you install these in the afternoon, give it at least a day before you notice the full difference, but I will say I measured a noticeable drop with just a few hours.     • If your room is hot, this thing will cool you down!!!
If your upper floors/rooms are always warmer than the rest of your house, these vents will fix it!! Our bedrooms have always been 5-10 degrees warmer than the main floor, and 10-15 degrees warmer than the basement. I’ve always gotten buy with fans in my bedroom, but when my sons complained about poor sleep because their fans were not cutting it, I looked into solutions. These fan powered vents lived up to the hype of the positive reviews. The echo dots in my son’s rooms read the ambient temperature, so I was able to track how well the vents cooled their bedrooms. One room went from 77degrees to 71 in less than an hour. The other bedroom, which is on the side of the house that gets more sun, went from 79 down to 72 in the same time period. It was immediately noticeable how much more AC air was being pulled into their bedrooms. I just ordered two more for me and the Mrs and our master bedroom. I wished I had found these YEARS AGO!!! I can’t wait to install my pair and get to sleeping cooler. ... show more

works well once you figure it out. My kids 2 bedrooms are on the upper level, full sun all day. their rooms can never cool down in the summer ( midwest heat/humidity) They are very happy with how much cooler their rooms are now, and while I would find it way too loud to have running in my room, they don't mind how loud the fan is. You can adjust the level of the fan though, (higher is louder obviously) they just prefer it running at an 8 out of 10 for a boost of cool air. ... show more
