I'm surprised at how well this will split wood. There's some limitations as to how wide in diameter, but I have found it can tackle even 12". I have been splitting mostly Eucalyptus, but also some oak. The only thing that I find inconvenient is when you line the log up with where you'd like to split it, sometimes as you are waiting for the arm that presses the log into the splitting wedge to reach the log, the log will shift a bit out of the "ideal" position because of the vibration. I'm also super happy that they made this version that brings the working area up higher so you save your back from having to squad or sit. You simply work at standing level. It's great little splitter. Especially for the price! I split the wood in the photo in about 90 minutes. Mostly eucalyptus and some oak.

This is a work horse. I wanted to get some kindling wood so I took a huge 1/2 log and was able to get about 40 smaller useable kindling for a fire with wife. I’m so confident that the two hand movement systems so safe, I’ll even teach her how it works. Shell thinks it’s all fun while I get her to get the wood pile done. If I had to purchase another log splitter, I’d purchase this same one again. L I’ve it! I’ve used this log splitter five times. Each time was for a few hours. It’s held up great, the splitter is being used to break down the wood that I purchased that too large for our needs. It’s busting everything that I can throw at it. Good quality and heavy duty besides. The only thing I’d change is the axle and tires. A larger accelerator and larger tires would make for easier moving. I may go to a 5/8ths axel with 10” tires. Use lock rings at point of entry and exit on each tire will keep it stable.

For its size, this splitter works very well, I had a situation occur splitting cedar elm and the hydralic piston rod bent, not sure how, contacted the company inquiring about purchasing the replacement part, ( it was still in warranty period) the company response was to send me a new replacement splitter. The splitter is well built and I figured I damaged it by splitting this wood from he!! Very satisfied with the product and the company response to damage I'm pretty sure I caused and was upfront with them about it, will definitely purchase their products again.

This is a great little splitter, with tons of power to split anything I threw at it today. Had some difficulty with odd shaped pieces with knots and such, but was able to reposition the piece and get through it another direction. I am totally thrilled with this little splitter! Looking forward to our next storm to bring down some trees! Lol. The only reason I didn’t give it a five was that the stand had a dented piece that is going to have to be replaced by the company. Calling customer service Monday.

This is a well built product. Very sturdy and easy to use. It almost killed me getting it out of the box as it is heavy. But then again that is exactly what I was hoping for. I bought the stand and am happy with that decision. It is also sturdy and puts the splitter at the right height to stand and split logs.

This a great splitter for the price. The stand is awesome and a must-have in my opinion. It splits dry seasoned hard woods with ease. First piece I tried was about a 8” diameter piece of Osage Orange (hedge) and it popped it right open. The two handed switch is cumbersome, so added a foot switch and a clamp to hold switch on and it was a game changer. Not really a safety issue if you use the foot switch and are careful and have previous experience splitting. I expect this unit to handle my needs for years.

The media could not be loaded. Bought this for splitting small logs 8” in diameter, hickory and oak does the job perfectly. If you use this machine as directed, it’s perfect. I definitely wouldn’t force it with larger logs. I purchased it with the stand; however, I don’t think I will be using it, it works great on my tailgate. The only thing I don’t like about this splitter is that you need both hands to operate it, one to depress the switch, and one to operate the lever. I believe that’s a safety feature, but it makes it difficult to cut small pieces. I would definitely recommend this splitter, as long as you understand that it’s intended for small logs.
