It's a bit smaller than I was expecting, but had no trouble lifting my Subaru Outback or my sister-in-law's Hyundai Santa Fe. Its size does make it easy to store. I have had this for some time at this point and I always have the same compliant every time I use it. I wish the wheels moved easer like a zero turn mower and the extension attachment to raise it higher needs to be sturdier. Not real confident raising anything especially my mower which is over a 1/2 ton with any confidence it won't eventually decide to slip out. ... show more

Those who cannot figure out the air bleed process, need to look it up, online. It is provided by the company, on video. The oil plug is the little raised bump on the cylinder. Do NOT remove the hard plastic plug that is marked: "Do Not Disturb." This unit works very well. I had no problems raising the tires on my Ram 1500. Be sure to use this floor jack along with a jack stand. If you do not have a jack stand, don't use this floor jack until you do, for your own safety. When you receive this unit, open it, at once: Others have written about missing wheels and other parts. I received a unit in mint condition, you may not, if the reviews are accurate. Missing Parts: I bought the jack when it was on sale in July 2021, but I didn't need to use it until this past November 2022. When I opened the package, several critical parts were missing, so I couldn't use it. As soon as possible, make sure all parts are present and perform the air purge procedure to check functionality. Great Customer-Service: Even though I was several months outside of the 1 year warranty, Torin customer service was able to send me the parts free of charge. Please note, however, that they will only extend the courtesy once. If you find anything missing afterwards, you will be responsible for the parts and shipping costs. Good Sturdiness: My 2015 Honda Pilot has metal tabs for jack points, so I bought a Planger Power Pad (slotted, deep) separately to protect my car and the jack. With the pad and without the SUV adapter, the jack seemed very sturdy when holding up either end of my SUV. It held steady while I placed jack stands under the car. I have performed 4 lifts with the jack, so far. I can't speak to the sturdiness of the jack without a pad or with the SUV adapter, however. CAUTION: The lift capacity is 2.5 tons with the SUV adapter. Without the adapter, the lift capacity is 3 tons. This is on page 2 of the user manual. Excellent Functionality: I didn't even need the SUV adapter to lift my Pilot. I was able to lift the SUV higher than expected. Good Ease of Use: It was relatively easy to operate. You have to remove the lever and use it to turn the release valve to lower the jack, which is more steps than I'm used to (my other jack lowers by just turning the lever counter-clockwise). The lever is angled low to prevent you from hitting your car by accident, but it means the lever travel is shorter than some floor/trolley jacks jacks. Acceptable Maneuverability: The jack is easy to adjust and maneuver into position, but the low-angle lever means that I have to bend over to roll the jack long distances.     • BEST JACK FOR OCASSIONAL HOMEOWNER USE

I am retired so had time to spent hours looking at floor jacks, and this one had the best range of motion and features for the $. I use it on my 1500 truck and lawn tractors, probably on a monthly basis. You probably won't beat this one for name recognition and price. All but very few are made in China now, and are throw away jacks. My old Michelin got a slow leak after 20 years. The rebuild kit cost half what this one did, and it is a lot of work to change out the dozen plus seals, and then that may not even be the problem. And nobody rebuilds them these days, so you got to do it. I gave it 4 stars because even though it worked out of the box, it was low on fluid, but so was the jack I mention below. Just buy some jack oil (it's cheap). First bleed the system (easy and instructions tell how to), then top off your new jack with the jack oil for the best performance. A syringe works best for this to keep the fluid from going all over the place. I have only had the jacks for a few months, so time will tell how long they last. The ratings for all of them are similar though, so I think there is little difference in reliability between them. As I recall the warranties are similar too. If you are not in a hurry to get the job done buy the Powerbuilt All-IN-ONE, and you won't even need a jack stand. I got both. ... show more
