    • Great pizza oven once you learn it
Once you learn how to adjust the temps properly, and the method of cooking, I believe there is no better pizza oven. The pizza coming out of this oven may be the best I've ever tasted. The bottom is nice and crispy, and the top as done as you would like it. While not easy to lower the bottom flame without it going off, I beleive it can be adjusted slightly - I like getting this flame low (so as not to overcook the bottom). At times you may want to finish off the cook on the peel, again so as not to burn the bottom while you are getting the desired cook on the top. Thankfully my stone has not cracked (yet, as others are complaining about), however I do make sure to start the flames on low, then raising once hot. ... show more

    • Cooks awesome Napolitan pizza. Super fast. Propane regulator and igniter were absolute garbage
Ok...Just like everyone else has been saying....Great price and worth every penny. Mine has been in the weather and has not rusted at all! The garbage propane regulator acted weak and then stopped working. I used an adjustable propane regulator instead....sooo much better. Crank it and it gets hot quick! Adjust and keep the bottom flame to the lowest possible setting where it can stay lit and the upper flame to the lowest setting. Keep the oven closed while warming up to around 750. A minute or two before you put the pizza in, turn the upper flame to high to get it close to 850 and insert your pizza. in a minute, turn the pizza as soon as it browns on the one side a couple of times. Takes maybe 3-5 minutes to cook an Italian pizza. Grab a Aldi pizza dough, a can of Cento brand puree, some of the sliced "wet" mozzarella, and Basil and you have the start of something beautiful. Very good oven for the price! I love mine! ... show more

I purchased two. These grills are diamonds. BIG HORN OUTDOORS Gas Pizza Oven This has a fixed flame under the pizza stone; There is a second adjustable burner level with the top of the stone. You do not need to wait 20 minutes for the stone to heat up between each pizza like the other competitor junk like ooomsuck. The inside can exceed 900 degrees F and the outside of the stainless steel is around 200 degree F . Do not listen to the nut job gremlin reviews because you want to heat up your stone first from the adjustable flame on the top and then turn on the fixed burner under the stone. It is common sense to turn on and off the fixed burner under the stone so it is not too hot. I left it on the entire time using pizza screens and the end product was fantastic. If you use pizza screens, oil them or your pizza will stick. If your dough is too hydrated it will stick to the pizza stone. This oven will place your corner pizza shop out of business. I have not seen offers from this company about replacement gas burners but I am confident it can be reworked when they burn out. The person on YouTube shows no wear after one year. You can purchase a pellet screen and place inside if you want a smoke wood flavor. You only need 500 degrees F direct heat using the top burner, If your dough is properly made. ... show more

Very happy so far. This makes great pizzas quick. I think the 2 burner system (one under the stone) is key. I've heard others say they've struggled with big name wood pellet pizza ovens (i.e. consistency in crust, managing heat). This think cranks to 800/900 degrees in no time and turns out pizzas with nice crust fast. Like others have said, we got a hairline crack in our pizza stone on the first use...but it doesn't seem to be causing any problems. If the crack gets worse, I'll likely request a replacement at some point. ... show more

    • This thing gets hot!
I'm pleasantly surprised by the quality of the construction and performance of this oven. This sucker gets hot! I didn't believe it, but yes, you can cook a pizza in 3-4 minutes. It takes some work though. You need to keep a constant watch and adjust things as necessary. The temp of the stone will continue to rise as you cook, and it's difficult to dial the bottom flame low enough to avoid going out, so you have to sometimes finish the cooking with the pizza on the peel(i.e. not directly on the stone) to avoid burning the crust. As with any small pizza oven, you need to constantly turn the pizza to get an even cook. Overall if you are committed to learning a few tricks this oven can make great pizza. I noticed the door sticking after the oven is hot like others have mentioned but so far it doesn't seem to have caused issues. Tilting the door before trying to pull it out seems to help. Also the stone cracked during the first use but the crack was tiny and hasn't grown. The seller already shipped me a new stone however. You can also cook other items in the oven. I cooked a few polish sausages and I'm looking forward to searing a steak under the intense heat. ... show more

    • Disappointed -- Returned the Item
Purchased this for my hubby for Father's Day. Wanted to get something that was portable for the RV. This is not what I would consider "portable." It would be a great small unit to set up in your backyard. It's a beautiful oven. But.....the item was dented upon receiving it. We were able to overlook this because it was in the back. We were able to use it one time before we ended up returning it. It turns out that there is only a flame on the left-hand side (nothing on the right) and another one that is supposed to be on the bottom. It turns out that the bottom flame would not ignite or work. My husband sent 3 different emails to Big Horn Outdoors and called on the phone 3 different times trying to get answers and attempt to have the company ship out a replacement part so that my husband could try and install it and make it work. They don't even know their own product line when you call them. After a few weeks of waiting for them to get back to us, we are done! I should have taken the queues when I didn't see any customer ratings. Anyhow, buyer beware! ... show more
