They spent an extra 5 cents to package a hex tool with a handle on it instead of a simple L key, and it couldn't make more of a difference. Well designed and very heavy product. Majority of the base is Steel. The arms which provide support for the back are cast resin (I think), so while not indestructible they are fairly strong. One armrest was damaged in transit or through casting error, the company sent me a replacement (and also a replacement for the arm that was not broken) very quickly, at no cost, and with few questions asked. I would say A++ will buy again but I do not suspect needing to replace this chair for quite a long time.

I can sit in my new chair without losing the feeling in both of my legs. I was bed ridden due to the pain and numbness in my legs. The back pain while sitting was even worse. Now I have been able to enjoy my craft room given to me by my husband. My legs no longer hurt or go numb. The back pain has also disappeared as well while I sit in my chair. Even if for five minutes or two hours. I'm the happiest young lady in the world because of Amazon. My brother told me about Amazon a few years ago and he was right. He told me that you would answer all my prayers. And you most certainly have. I truly love my new chair. Thank You Amazon

Got this chair for little over a week now, very easy assembly took 15min putting it together, big very sturdy and comfortable Arm rests pieces are hard plastic but everything under seat supports are metals that make it very sturdy. The cushioning is very plush and comfortable for long periods of time. I’m 6 foot tall and The adjustable height is perfect for my long legs. The piston and overall product feels sturdy and dependable. Overall this is a great chair for larger people and the product price is great for the quality and comfort I received. Ps, wish they had brown color options personal think brown will make it good rich and expensive looking.

The bolts holding the back of the seat bent one bolt at a time. At first I tried holding it on with cinches. That only nursed it along a few more weeks. It only lasted 4 months. Don't waste your money. It's not bariatric as advertised. I'm only 380lbs. It's supposed to be good for up to 500 lbs. No one over the weight limit sat in it. It's not like I even lean back in it or anyone else does. I am handicapped though, and I do use the armrests to help get up and down. Those are what hold the seat back on. I suspect these could not handle the weight. So disappointing.

UPDATE… seller was super helpful and responded and sent replacement parts to suffice issue I was encountering… PLEASE READ…Chair is stiff, wide, sturdy...stiff that it tilts slightly forward. The back is too high for feeling comfy resting your head or neck back! ALSO…IT DOES NOT ROCK BACK AND FORTH.. seller needs to amend the description.. the back does NOT move, it is stiff and tilts slightly forward.. also, it sits SUPER low to the ground and does not rise up enough. I am not tall or large.. but this is too low even for me. The seller has been gracious enough to send me a replacement which may help with having this raise more..So The ONE STAR is the fact that this chair does not rise up?? I can lower a few inches...but will only go up very little. I compared to ALL other office chairs int he house..they all go up much higher, no matter which brand. There seems to be an issue with the mechanism. And if I want to return or exchange I have to pay the return shipping, which would made me just have initially bought a much higher rated, more expensive one to begin with! I am stuck with a stiff chair that hopefully will give over time and get more comfy!

The chair was easy to assemble (I only needed help attaching the chair back to the chair seat). It is quite comfortable for a "big" guy (5ft 10in, 290 lbs) who is in the chair for at least 8 hours a day. I was initially concerned about the seat being too firm, but honestly it hasn't been an issue at all. The chair feels extremely stable and the dimensions are exactly what I needed. The chair was more expensive than other chairs on Amazon, but it was well worth the price. I highly recommend this chair for those that require a bit more hip space. Enjoy!

The chair itself is good quality and putting it together with included tools was easy. I just wish it was about 5 inches taller. I feel like I'm sitting crossed legged when I sit in the chair. I'm 6 foot. The kids like it. It fits them. But not recommended for someone over 5 foot tall.

The chair is big and comfortable, and there's no strange smell. Now my chair is bigger than my boss's, which makes me a bit uneasy. I'm worried my boss might talk behind my back. By the way, the assembly is relatively simple. Just make sure not to follow the manual that says to install both armrests first and then the backrest. The right way is to attach one armrest to the backrest and one to the seat cushion first. Don't tighten the screws all the way at first, just hang them loosely. Then, put these two parts together and you're all set! Nice chair~
