Hilarious, I just got an email from Amazon saying that my AC shipped yet I can look over and see it already installed in my wall. I ordered it late in the evening on Tuesday and I had it by noon on Wednesday. Today is Thursday... I clearly live very close to their distribution warehouse. This thing works great, set it on auto and cooled the room right down. If it went on during the night it sure was quiet, I didn't wake up at all, due to noise or being too hot. When I ordered this I looked at three things, the size, 115 volt, and a remote, I didn't look at much else so I was happily surprised it included all sorts/sizes of foam to get a good seal around it.     • Cannot blow air DOWN
I like this A/C with one exception: the air directional louvers can point in any direction except DOWN! Most through-the-wall air A/Cs are installed 24 inches from the ceiling. If you are short or in bed it cannot blow cold air directly on you.

I bought the Keystone for my apartment as a wall a/c unit. I was surprised at how quiet the A/C was compared to the Frigidaire that I previously owned. I've experienced a couple of humid, 80 degree weather and this A/C has kept my apartment cool with ease. I like the remote control feature, "follow me". The remote has its own thermometer and as long as it is in range of the A/C you can set the remote to be the thermostat vs the A/C itself. I'm so far pleased with the purchase. ... show more

Leave it to Amazon to help me find the "hard to find" through the wall air conditioner as a replacement for an old Emerson that was toast! I also bought the sleeve that goes with this product, had a professional install it and it's all good. One note however, the remote doesn't seem to correspond exactly with how you might like to cool your room. I found the best way for me was to manually turn off the energy saver, set the unit to "cool", set the fan to medium and it works perfect. You can use the remote to set the ideal temperature for your taste & comfort & turn it off from the remote as well. Experiment until you find your comfort level. The unit is moderately quiet, it does move between cycles with humidity buildup and cooling so read your manual carefully to understand what is going on before you think something is broken. Chances are your unit is working properly just internally changing modes while cooling and removing moisture. The inside/outside temperature will also reflect this. ... show more

Soup to nuts; Installation took all of 15 minutes, as I was replacing an existing through-wall unit. More time was spent moving furniture than the actual task of "out with the old, in with the new". The unit is quiet, clean, reliable and very effective for us. The "dry" cycle works quite well as here in Cleveland we frequently have hot and humid weeks - setting the temp at 70-72 and in dry mode has kept the humidity down and temp comfy. I would recommend having help installing the unit. It isn't that heavy or awkward but should be considered a two person job especially if your through wall sleeve is mounted as many are, at 5'. Soooo, for the 4 days that we had this ac it worked great. Day 4, my husband and I are laying in the living room and we heard a loud bang. I thought a bird flew into the ac, but the dang thing blew out! The ac was still on, but no air blew out. When my husband took it from the wall, water began to pour all over the floor. Apparently, the ac wasn't draining properly or the water didn't evaporate the way it should have. When I called customer service they arranged a refund and for ups to come and pick up the AC from our home. ... show more

    • Does its job, but its not perfect
Had this unit for about 3 years now. Still going strong. Price has gone up over the years but its been a decent unit for me. Like others have said, this unit WILL be noisy, but it does work. I have this installed in a 10x12 office shed. The compressor is loud. I live in the southwest and we experience months of triple digit temps. I cannot do conference calls while it is cooling so I have to frontload the shed temperature and then change it to fan only for my calls because the noise would be too much. This causes the shed to obviously heat up again so I simply manage the times when it is cooling. Not a serious deal breaker but if you are buying this thinking you can keep a space cool all day then you will have to deal with the noise somehow. Also, the remote is finicky and doesnt stay connected but I figured out how to make it work when I need it. I just wish I didnt have to reconnect it every time I want to change the function. From what I gather there is no perfect solution when it comes to in wall units but I had to change my expectations for what it would do for me and I dont plan on changing it out for anything else.
