This coop has a good frame, which is the main reason we bought it, after my daughter bought a similar style dog pen. It goes together FAR easier than building your own coop or run. It comes with plenty of zip ties, and everything is well made...except the chicken wire. I can tear it with my hands. Go buy a 150' roll of decent chicken wire from your local farm store ($80 in 2025) and you will have some left over and it will actually protect your chickens. I went ahead and bought some metal zip ties to do around the bottom while I was upgrading, though it was not absolutely necessary. You'll have a good start with this setup. If you expect any predators at all, think about how you will attach this to the ground and prevent digging under it. My solution is a concrete block 'foundation' that is tied to the bottom rail and some buried welded wire fence that I had laying around. It has worked in a previous coop. Also, you can cover any gaps in the door with some fencing attached to the door, or the inside of the frame. I'm not going to build an internal structure for the main coop, just some roosting rails and nesting boxes. For the winter, I'll make some panels to close off a smaller section to hold heat better. I have been in certain industrial chicken barns, run by Ty's son, and I hate them with a passion and swore to never do that to my chickens. This coop will be fine for a dozen or so chickens, especially if they are let out during the day. Chickens are good people. You should be good to them.

I have owned this for about 2 years now, I was going to do a review on it but decided to wait so I could give a honest review. Well 2 years The first year no issues what so ever, about a week after the first year I had to replace the tarp. I will say it was better then I thought. I will say about middle of going into the second year of having this coop I have had to replace the wire. All and all I would say it has lasted a good amount for what paid. I decided to go with the 1/4 hardware cloth to replace the chicken wire because I felt better with hardware cloth for an extra 111.59 and that was 100ft of cloth. The frame is still in great condition. It was fairly easy to put together, I did have to look at the instructions once or twice but all and all it was very easy. I replaced the tarp with a cloth type from harbor freight for like 21.00 dollars so I can honestly say I feel Ive gotten my moneys worth from this coop. I live in Florida so not many tarps last very long and The wire well its not the best wire and A good weed eater eats it up. The wife used my weed eater and got a little to close to the pen. So not really manufacturers issue there. Door does not drag and still lined up correctly. I have done no adjustments to the frame at all. So its a good quality frame and wire really was not that bad.

This is the biggest scam I have ever bought on amazon. These are about 5/8 inch diameter THIN poles! Slightly over 1/2 inch. So flimsy my toddler can push it and bow these poles and bend them to the point of snapping if she fell or leaned on it hard enough. So good luck when a raccoon or even a stray dog comes over and LIGHTLY pushes on this chicken run. This is not what I paid for. Even the photos in this listing show standard 1-3/8" poles. and "snowproof". LOL that's a joke. there's no way these skinny poles will even handle rain, let alone snow. I want my money back for this. The entire system comes in ONE skinny box. I was waiting for another box to be delivered because I thought there's no way all those STANDARD poles would fit in that small box. Well, surprise, they scammed and sent flimsy skinny 5/8" poles. I have bought one of these before - not from this company, but another company on Amazon, and the poles were standard sized, making the entire setup very sturdy and heavy and it came in two separate boxes because it's so big. The chicken wire it comes with is terribly thin AND it doesn't even cover the length of each section of the top. You have to split it half and half and then ziptie in between, making not only more work for you to do, but also making it even less protection because you've created a big seam. The door that you install to this is a joke because its so flimsy that you can so easily push on the bottom or top corner to get in. Im having to order more latches and then rig them to fit around these 5/8" poles because NOONE sells even 1" butterfly latches. They're all for standard 1-3/8" poles. The latch it comes with is the tiniest latch I've ever seen. Almost looks like something from a doll house. It also took so long to ship and receive. Came on the very last day of the delivery window. It didn't even ship out until a week after I purchased it. So I guess it just sits in their order queue until the last minute until they finally ship it 2 days before the last day of the delivery window? This product is a joke and a SCAM and will never protect my chickens. I now see other reviewers are saying the same thing: Some receive the standard size and others receive this skinny size. Do not buy this from this company. I will be contacting amazon to get a refund due to false advertising. This company makes small businesses look bad.
