The media could not be loaded. Definitely get this if you need to hang something from a rafter or joist or stud! Definitely easy to assemble, I just use a drill and drill bit and then was able to pre-drill a hole and then fastened in the bolt and hinge. No squeaking and no noise when swinging in my chair. Definitely can hold my weight so not worried when I sit/lay down. So functionally it is excellent! Because if it’s color, it also just blends into my supporting beam, making it a perfect fit which I love! I don’t think you will regret purchasing this! Please see video and pictures!

We purchased these hinges to round out the options for play on our DIY swingset; they are heavy weight and very well suited to hold an adult or child. I will say the bolts do need predrilling, but they are easy to use and install. We saved $$ purchasing these instead of the ones available with our swing kit, so they are a good savings. I waited to share my review as I wanted to be sure it is accurate and the hinges were used many times before making comments. I would buy them again. The bolts are 1-year in and starting to discolor so we will watch those for rust. We DID have to oil the hinge at 1-year as it was squeaking, but for a swing it was fine.

The media could not be loaded. These were delivered on April 28th and after 7 days of use they started squeaking. I built my own wooden swing set and it is a little over 9 feet tall… so greasing all of the them will be a little tricky. But I’m hoping that will fix the squeak and last through summer. But we’ll see. They are heavy duty, so I still recommend regardless of the squeaking!

Heavy duty hardware. The original hardware (different brand) that came with the swings rusted out eventually and broke, but I got this as replacement hardware and it seems to be much more solid and comes coated to prevent / prolong corrosion.
