  • Great Replacement Pump
Size: 1500gal
** READ about the GFI, in my CONS section. ** This pump was nearly an exact match for my Coleman Swim Vista 18' x 48" pool, which i purchased in 2020. If figure the these pools last for about 5 years, so i feel this is a good replacement investment. This design is a little different, so i am hopeful the impeller holds up better with this 1500 GPH pump, as opposed to the one Coleman sold with their pool. Pro's: Lines - Comes with the 2 translucent pool intake lines, also the 2 white pump lines with their seals. Accessories - Comes with new screw clamps, a filter, pre-filters, and even some replacement connectors! FYI: Does not come with a replacement in-line shut-off valve. You will have to replace that separate, should you require one. Con's: Accessories - Would have been nice to have received the 3 black plugs, which stop water flow to the pump. GFI - What the heck? The original stock pump had a RESET/ON & an OFF. This one has an OFF button, as well as a RESET. BUT, the ON button is a TIMER! Selections are 2Hrs; 4Hrs; 6Hrs; 8Hrs; 10Hrs Why? Why those 5 selections? If you have to have 5, might i suggest 12Hrs; 24Hrs; 36 Hrs; 48Hrs; Always ON What is the purpose of a timer & Who runs their pool filtration pump for those length of hours? These pumps have to run long hours to keep the water free of contaminates. If you work, good luck starting the pump before you leave, then returning home to a running system. If the TIMER was Removed, OR, Replaced with the suggestions above. You would have a 5 STAR product. Good Pump Easy Replacement Great Value ...bad GFI design... Let me know if there is ANY way to BYPASS the TIMER "feature", and i will change my rating to a 5-star. Otherwise, i will have to spend additional time & money, to make a minor (snip/strip/attach) modification. Only to plug it into my (already existing) Outdoor GFI receptacle. ... show more

  • Better replacement
Size: 1500gal
This unit replaces the pump that came with our pool. It works great and even has a built in timer which is a big bonus. Great value for the money.

  • Part 1 of 2 reviews, 1st day
Size: 1500gal
Sorted out all pieces, the pump states for my type of pool, 3 hose, 3000+ gallon above ground pool. All seemed well, however there are only 2 joiner pieces that connect hoses to in-pool aerator part. The 2 parts show to connect to the 2 hoses that suction water out of pool, not to the hose that replaces the filtered water to pool. Thus leaving the filtered water hose without. Put the tightened clasps on started pump, ran great. Water looked cleaner in 2 hours. Was really happy. Now fast forward 6 hours, pump has turned off, (has great timer feature!). Look down side of my house and water is standing between my home and neighbors. I go to backyard to find the "A" hose leaking water, not just a few drips but enough to drop water depth by 7 inches. The hose leaks at the screw connector. I tightened it as much as could be done, leak stopped. Looked in on it a couple hours later, leaking again. Have to go to hardware store in morning, going to try pipe tape, seems there should have been another connector piece for hose "A". Will post further after a couple weeks, to insure the pipe tape works and pump continues to perform optimally. Currently ok with the pump and performance. ... show more

  • Don't forget to buy an adaptor so you can hook it to the smaller hose of the Intex pool
Size: 1500gal
We have had an Intex pool (I think its 8 x16) the last 4 years. It seems that we go through about 1 pump a season. We upgraded the 1,000 per hour Intex for this pump - 1,500 gph this year- and it really seems to make a big difference in keeping the pool clear. We just got it so I can't speak to it's ability to last - but because it cleans the water better, I'm sure we can run it for shorter amounts of time. Also - the Lid to change the filter seems much easier to open than the intex pumps we have been using. Arrived on time - I'm happy so far. One bit of advice - make sure you have the right adaptors to hook up your pool, I discovered it did not come with everything we needed -- so I had to pay 10 extra dollars and wait 2 extra days to use the pool - but other than that - great so far! ... show more

  • Not recommended for a larger pool
Size: 1500gal
Our pool is about 10k gallons and the original pump finally stopped working. After a quick search for a pump that would get to me the fastest this was the pump I bought. The install is very easy. I can’t say anything about the instructions because I did not need them, but if you’re used to working with pool pumps you should be safe. The issue: 1500 gallons per hour is no small amount of output, and yet you can’t feel the pump working in our pool. I actually thought the pump was defective until I tried putting a leaf in front of the output and watched the leaf gently swaying from the flow. This likely is not an issue for a smaller pool, but trying to keep the chemicals circulating is difficult when the pump is not pulling in the water at a significant speed. I would not recommend this pump for my use case, but if you have a smaller pool (maybe 4k-6k gallons at most), then this might be good for you. ... show more

  • On the fence
Size: 1500gal
I don’t think it pulls water in as well as it has advertised it would. I did. Not give full stars because of this and it is pretty noisy for a pump moving water.
