For years I've been using the traditional tri-pod style propane burner we all know and love/hate. This product is not quite as easy to grab-and-go but it is so much better in many ways. One of the most important differences is how incredibly strong and sturdy this unit is. I have zero concerns, even on slightly uneven ground, of this falling over. The design and functionality are well above par. The size does limit use a bit as you would only want to use a large pot, wok, caldron, etc. with it. Even with the included "arm" extenders, if you went with too small of a cooking vessel you would have too much heat escaping up the sides. The weight is where the "not so easy to grab and go" part comes in. But it is also what makes it so sturdy and stable. Absolutely I consider this a good value for the money and would absolutely recommend it to others and/or buy another one for myself down the line, if needed.
