Does exactly what it says it's supposed to do. Works fantastic with an older car where the USB plug in only gets me a "slow charging" result and other cigarette lighter chargers have utterly failed to even work. I don't know if this item is simply built better or what, but it has absolutely no problem getting my items fast charging results. As an added bonus, I'm also able to pair this with a portable power source that has a cigarette lighter output, meaning I can get electric space heater use whilst camping instead of relying on portable propane heaters.

Have only owned for a day. Ordered on 5/13/2020, received via Prime on 5/15/2020. So Amazon also gets 5 stars. The model# pictured (when zoomed in) is not exactly what I received, so assuming what I have is an updated model. Looks identical to the picture however. My model# is TIC1130B. Ordered the Gray model as it was only 23.99 compared to the Red which was 29.99 however units appear to be identical. The inverter seems very well built and durable with an aluminum case as advertised. Initially tried charging a laptop. This worked perfectly. Then added a phone using the USB power port, also perfect. What I have learned and tested: The USB Port is on as soon as unit it is plugged in, without the AC switch turned on. Noticed the Fan was not running initially with only laptop & phone plugged in so thought possibly a bad fan. Looked extensively and all information found said that as soon as AC switch is turned on, the fan would run continuously. As a last test, tried plugging in 2 lights with 75W bulbs to generate a load. Both light bulbs appeared to work at full brightness. And as soon as the second light was plugged in, the fan started to spin. Then with only 1 light plugged in, the fan decreased in speed. Note also that the fan was very quiet at both higher and lower speeds and seems to work as designed. Lastly tested AC Voltage and with no load, I measured 5V AC, which I found odd. Plugged in the light with a 75W bulb and measured the voltage on the prongs of the light plug and was pulling 120V. Apparently from the testing above this unit has smart tech built into it. At this point I am extremely pleased with the purchase of this inverter. The price makes it an even easier decision.

Usually I'm pretty skeptical of trying different products from Amazon but this inverter is actually pretty good. I'm a truck driver and I bought this thing to power my MSI gaming laptop in my spare time and boy am I impressed. After going to truck stops and trying many other brands, none of them supplied enough power like this thing does. I can play games on my laptop and charge my phone at the same time, it's truly a great product functionality wise. The build quality is also really good, it doesn't feel cheap like other inverters and the fan seems to be above average quality aswell. One thing I do really like is the fuses being easily accessible without having to completely disassemble the inverter. Mine hasn't blown any fuses yet but if it ever does, I'm confident about replacing them. My one and only complaint is the cord that plugs into your cigarette lighter/power outlet is pretty short. It's long enough for what I use it for but it's definitely something to consider when purchasing. In fact, both cords seem pretty short now that I think about it. They could both be at least a foot longer in my opinion but for the good price and good quality, I'm fine with it.

When I plug my Zoom H4N Pro into the 3-prong outlet on the Bestek, a loud hum can be heard, detracting from the sound of the playback audio. Not sure whether this item lacks grounding, or shielding, but it is annoying. My Zoom does not generate any type of hum when plugged into outlets in my home, so it is most likely an issue with the Bestek. Also, the USB inputs are too close to the 3-prong outlet, so I could only use the one furthest from the USB inputs when I needed to use both the USB and 3-prong inputs. Update: 10.06.2026 Bestek customer support indicated that my Zoom H4N Pro might require a pure sine wave inverter instead, and they made an unsolicited offer to send me the 300W pure sine wave inverter model to try. It works beautifully and there is no longer a hum when my Zoom H4N Pro is plugged in. I'm genuinely impressed with the response and support from the Bestek team in trying to help me find the right product/solution for my needs. Easily one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had. While this version of the Bestek still has the small issue with the close proximity of the USB and 3-prong inputs. However, the upgraded version of the inverter resolves this issue by offsetting the USB inputs at an angle. I'll give that one a 5-star review.
