I bought this particular projector in order to avoid having to bring another device such as a laptop in order to show videos. Videos up to 1080 resolution can be shown using a plugged-in USB drive. Cons: built-in audio is not usable. You must place a microphone next to the speaker or plug in an external amplifier in order for anyone not holding their ear up to the speaker to hear. The remote has very limited range and the BenQ Smart control remote app for smartphones does not work with the projector.

BenQ launched the new EH600 as the first Android-based business projector. It provides businesses with unparalleled convenience, portability and efficiency through wireless capabilities, built-in business applications, and over-the-air firmware updates, so IT administrators can easily install updates from anywhere whenever a new version is available. It also includes a wireless display and mirroring features on various platforms for easy and efficient use in any business setting. ~ More Convenient Than Expected As an end user or as an IT Admin, I find the EH600 as the fastest way to add a meeting room display to project team collaborations for Office 365 applications in Word, Excel & PowerPoint & this smart or wireless projector provides that convenience like never before. In ad hoc situations, I can easily set up the EH600 in small rooms whether it be a one on one meeting or group meetings. Its wireless solution eliminates cable clutter & the need to find the right dongle for any device saving me precious time to set up the unit either from my mobile phone or tablet. As an IT Admin, using the TeamViewer application allows me to remotely access the EH600 projector to provide easy transitions between our IT team members, as well as troubleshooting a problem by IT support. If I use a projector to help deliver my lectures or use it for meetings throughout the day, I will probably be spending a good amount of time turning a projector off and on. With an EH600 projector, I don’t have to wait for the projector to warm up or cool down as long as I do with a traditional lamp projector. This boils down to efficiency & productivity wise. ~ For IT Admins IT Admins like me will always purchase valuable Hi-Tech items by considering reliability & maintenance, this is where the EH600 excels vs a cheaper conventional projector. Because it is rated to have 15,000 hours of lamp life (with SmartEco mode), this smart projector may not even require any serious maintenance during its lifetime. For those who don’t know, SmartEco mode adjusts the brightness based on the content being projected saving up to 70% of the lamp’s power. On the other hand, traditional or conventional projectors require their bulbs to be replaced in a good amount over their lifetime which can add up in costs. Nothing can be worse than having a bulb get busted in the middle of a presentation or an important meeting & not having one on hand to replace it. Overall I would say, that EH600 offer greater convenience, durability, reliability, & longevity compared to the traditional or conventional projectors. Likes: • Wireless projection to instantly mirror what is shown on your device through your smartphones, tablets, PCs and laptops regardless of the operating system to the projection screen. BenQ has done it. They have created the first easy to use wireless meeting room projector. Until the BenQ EH600 came along, wireless meeting room projectors usually required the use of dongles or some type of app installed on the presenter’s computer. They were too complicated for most users and required lots of support, which often lead to unproductive meetings. BenQ solved this by building an Android computer into the EH600. When powered on, the projector automatically displays a splash screen/launcher with easy to follow step-by-step instructions to connect any laptop computer, PC or Mac, any tablet or smartphone, iOS or Android. We were are astounded at how easy it was to connect and start presenting wirelessly on the screen with the BenQ EH600. The way BenQ was able to simplify the wireless connection process was very impressive. The BenQ EH600 comes with comes with several productivity apps pre-installed. WPS Office, allows users to present spreadsheets, PowerPoint and Word documents, display PDF files, show videos, pictures and play music files without the need of an external computer. Additionally, the WPS Office app allows users to create and edit documents directly on the projector for maximum convenience. FireFox browser, for PC-free web access. A handy tool to have during meetings. Blizz, enables screen sharing for remote meetings and video conferencing. TeamViewer, remote support app. The BenQ Smart Control app can be used for projector navigation as well as keyboard input. A wireless keyboard and mouse can also be connected. Additional Apps can also be easily installed. Simply find the APK (Application Package Kit) for the App you want to install, download and save it to a USB flash drive and connect it to the projector. Caution must be used to avoid apps that may be infected with malware. Whenever possible download APK files directly form the original software publisher. For truly PC-free presentations users can plug in a USB flash drive to one of the 2 USB ports on back of the projector and use the built-in file manager to navigate to their presentation. The BenQ EH600 supports most file formats and file sizes. A USB webcam or document camera can also be connected directly to the Projector for PC-free video conferencing and other applications. The BenQ EH600 features over-the-air firmware upgrade capability, which will allow users to get the latest, most up to date features and firmware updates by just clicking a button on the remote. The BenQ EH600 is clearly a projection industry milestone. It outperforms and outclasses every projector in its category. Flawless image quality combined with ease of wireless connectivity makes the EH600 is hard to beat. While I do believe that some day all projectors will be built this way. Today there is only one choice, the BenQ EH600. Best meeting room projector we have ever owned.
