This umbrella is not very sturdy. The handle to raise and lower it broke after less than a month. It flies all over the place. I was at my friend's house and noticed hers was a lot sturdier than mine in the same weather conditions. With a light wind, her umbrella did not move. My umbrella flies with just a gentle braid. Unfortunately, I do not think it will last for the nest summer season and already foresee having to buy a new one, ... show more

The umbrella is good for the price but finding a stand to hold it up properly has has been impossible. Don't epurchase umbrella unless you plan on paying a lot for a solid stand. My husband ended up Jerry rigging something that includes bungee cords and looked less then pleasing but it's the only thing that has kept it from tipping over or moving with a slight breeze. ... show more

We purchased this umbrella back in June. By the last of August the rope was fraying. Customer service wAs not the best. They were very nice but very hard to reach. Played phone tag for months. I had all but given up then decided to try one more time . They informed me they had sent a email giving me options, only to tell me that too much time had lapsed and offer was no longer good. I called amazon, love my Amazon prime. They refunded me enough back to buy rope assembly. FYI. I payed 20$ more for this umbrella back in June e. Not prone to saying bad things about anyone, anything . I'm sure they have better umbrellas that will last. ... show more

STILL LOVE IT..BUT needs a heavy weights to hold it down in wind.Wants to blow over very easily. do some research and don't buy the cheapest option for stands. I bought Sundale 4 outdoor weights Water /sand . Had catastrophic failure in wind today and string that raised and lowers umbrella broke .I will be looking for a better base option and looking for instructions to fix string. ... show more

the umbrella color is very nice (I bought the orange), the cantilever pole that attaches to the top of the umbrella came to me with a pretty big dent in it, but I don't think it will affect the sturdiness and the hardware was packaged poorly and unsecured inside the box so the nut was missing that holds the pin in place to secure the pole to the base and we had to make our own, so open your boxes carefully and secure all the hardware first, but overall this seems to be a decent umbrella for the money ... show more

Very high quality BUT notice that the stand will NOT hold up the umbrella under the slightest movement or wind - "Base needs to be secured with patio blocks or sandbags (Not Included)" (or screwed into deck). As long as that is okay with you, then this is an excellent buy for $80 with free shipping.
