I recently became enamored with carnival and antique glass and needed a corner cabinet for display. After searching for an already assembled piece, I discovered there were not a lot of options in an antique or traditional style that would match my furniture and fit into a small corner in my dining room area. I took a gamble and purchased this item, and I am extremely pleased with the cabinet. Although I do not hate assembling furniture, I have recently had a few hit and misses with do-it-yourself pieces. The cabinet came in multiple pieces securely packaged in one large box. The items were clearly identified and the manufacturer provided very clear assembly instructions with easy-to-read pictures. All of the items were also correctly and clearly labeled which assisted with assembly. The only thing I did not like about assembly is that the wood sides where the glass pieces are placed and secured did not have predrilled holes. I found this quite odd, since I had to spend considerable time carefully drilling them myself to attach these tiny screws and brackets. I also discovered that the manufacturer provided extremely small and poor-quality screws for this task. Although it shows in the assembly instructions to use a drill, I am not sure I would recommend that with the wood. I used an electric screwdriver I had, and it worked great for creating the indent in the wood for me to screw them it. A few of the screws completely disintegrated when I tried to screw them in with the electric screwdriver, but luckily, I had a few screws that fit from a previous project I had in my possession. Past that, the assembly is actually pretty easy and straightforward. I did it myself in about 2 hours, and although there were maybe one or two steps where two people were probably needed, I was able to do it by myself. If I had figured out the screw mystery earlier and how to quickly drill them with the electric screwdriver, I probably could have put it together in about an hour. Another thing to be aware of when you assemble it is that the pieces that have the hinges for the doors go in a very specific way on either the right or left. I put them in reverse and had to carefully drill holes where there were none to attach the hinges, but it worked fine in my case even without messing it up. The instructions clearly show what pieces to put where so pay careful attention to the numbers and where they go on the right or left for assembly. As you can see from the photos for the final product, this looks pretty good for something that costs about $275 dollars. It blends in well with my existing antique furniture and looks more expensive than the cost. What I love about the piece is the way it fits perfectly in a small corner and takes up minimal room. If you want a huge China cabinet, then this is not it, but if you need something stylish, small and inexpensive for a corner, this is absolutely perfect. If you are displaying reflective pieces, China or glass, the back mirrors look fabulous and reflect wonderfully. As other reviewers stated, I am not a huge fan of the one light just at the top, so I purchased magnetic puck lights with a remote for each level that can be easily turned on, removed and recharged, and they look great. I also switched out the basic pulls that came with the piece with nicer reproduction antique pulls I found on Amazon that make the piece look nicer in my opinion. Overall, for price, style, size and quality, this gets 5 stars from me!

I am so lucky my husband is a carpenter by trade. I see a lot of people had issues with this- I can say none of these pieces are damaged. I'm assuming the biggest issue is with the pre-drilling. I can see that being an obstacle for many, especially those inexperienced. But like I said- I am very lucky my husband is a professional carpenter. It's a beautiful piece, not too big, fits perfectly in the corner.

Very complicated to build and you need to drill many holes yourself, the holes for the glass holders weren’t pre drilled. Took several hours. If you’re not a handy type person and don’t have a drill, I would avoid this product. If you’re not afraid of the build, the finished product is very nice, fairly sturdy, and looks great.

This came with alot and alot and alot and you get the idea pieces. Like holy smokes, alot! It was VERY well packaged. Everything was in pristine condition. The instructions were very easy to read but make sure you have a couple hours to assemble. I am still giving it 5 stairs because its absolutely gorgeous. The light is only on top but its just all around so pretty.

They say it takes 100 minutes for assembly but I found it was about 30 minutes longer than that. About the only issue I had was that the glass panes are held in with a small metal tab that is attached to the frame with very small screws. I found that there are no pilot holes pre-drilled for them. All other hardware the screws holes are there. I drilled them myself to make the screws easier to install. Not a hard job but does take time since there are so many of them. Plus this does take two people to assemble.

The wood was of poor quality, the instructions were difficult, It was difficult to put together because the manufacturer did not drill holes in all cases or not all the way through the wood. In some cases the holes were crooked. The so called mirror, was shiny material on thin cardboard that came damaged anyway. They said it takes 100 minutes t assemble, it took over 60 hours before we gave up, meanwhile trying to get it resolved with the manufacturer. We did not realize all the issues until we had unpacked and then we did not believe we would be able to repackage it to return. The seller had the nerve to ask us to send pictures so that they could improve their quality control. I sent them, no response. Amazon stepped in and gave me my money back. this is why I would always do business with Amazon. But do not buy this cabinet.

Not as easy to build as described. Had to use a multi tool to saw and sand parts to fit properly. Packaging was not the best quality either as on opening the box there was shattered glass everywhere because one glass panel was broken, now I'll have to get a new panel made to replace it. All in all not horrible, still looks good but be aware of some possible manual adjustments and broken pieces.
