It took my friend and I about 2 hours to put together (we were playing around in between assembling). No extra tools required, instructions were clear. The table isn’t the most sturdy, but for an affordable apartment table, it does the trick. The chairs are solid and can seat a 225 pound man semi comfortably; I recommend adding light cushions to the chairs and bench for extra style and comfort. It would be tight if 4 people really were to sit at this table and all eat a meal together, but for 2 people, it’s perfect. The additional storage is great. But overall, I have no complaints about the table! Love the look of it, and it’s gotten lots of compliments.

This set was exactly what I hoped it would be. I purchased this for a replacement for an oversized u-shaped dinette in my 5th wheel camper. I was thrilled with the amount of extra room it provided the living space in the camper. Now, it was inexpensive, so I was happily surprised at the sturdiness of the set. Metal frame which holds my 200lb self securely, I do not ever feel that either the table or chairs are going to give way. The wood parts are not real wood planks, (I think it is particle board but not 100 percent sure), and you must be careful not to screw the screws in too tight as it could crack the wood veneer. In any case, a tablecloth and chair pads cover that if it bothers you. I like the bench instead of 2 more chairs. I don't need 4 chairs most of the time, so just being able to push the bench under the table and out of the way is an advantage. And it provides some additional storage and a place for the cat to lay when I'm at the table either eating or working on the computer. It took about an hour to assemble the set.

Assembly wasn't an issue and looks good. It's a pretty tight fit for 2 adults to eat side by side in the chairs, but doable. I have had to tighten the screws up on one of the chairs, but maybe I just didn't get them tight when I put it together. We dont use the shelves much, but I won't take them off, as they add stability.

So the table top is already bowing up on one end and nothing has been spilled on it to get it wet at all. The table is low so I cannot sit flat foot due to the storage rack on the bottom but the storage does wonders for small apartments as I have it in a one bedroom to seat me and my daughter. The screw holes are great they have a threaded insert in them to use bolts instead of wood screws to keep them from stripping out, all of the wood is press wood and they all have that feature. Great table for the price, kind of durable with having a steel frame and the laminated particle board makes for easy cleaning.

Assembly was time consuming but not hard, and you might need 2 people to put it together. It's very sturdy. There is storage under the table and the bench. Seats 4 adults. Great price too!
