The rice cooker works great, and the taste of the rice is better than my previous Zojirushi. However, there is a small drawback in the design of the cover. When you press the button to open the cover, it automatically opens, which is great. However, the elastic force is too strong and could cause the entire rice cooker to shake and move slightly.

This is a great rice cooker! It can do several different types of foods as well. It talks! I absolutely recommend it! Keep in mind that the “cup” that comes with it is smaller than an actual cup. I would say this rice cooker can cook approximately 5 actual cups of rice. The rice is perfectly done every time and will keep warm for many hours.

The media could not be loaded. I have been in the market for a cuckoo for quite a while. I wanted a couple main things from this machine. First, I wanted it's main focus to be on cooking amazing consistent rice of all types that can be kept warm for hours to days. And second, I wanted to make sure I had the pressure cooking option, both for my rice and for making some pressure cooker "instant pot" type of meals on occasion. Its super convenient to be able to switch between pressure and non pressure modes using the locking mechanism on the lid! If you are looking for a premium pressure rice cooker with extra abilities, but don't want shell out $4-600 for cuckoo or zojirushi's top models, then this may be the right cooker for you! Its probably a little too small for use as an instant pot alternative if you have a large family. But for one to two people, you should have no problems, it just takes a little learning curve to figure out how to set times correctly. Plus, it automatically regulates the pressure for you during the cycle and will release the pressure on it's own when the cooking is done. HOW CONVENIENT IS THAT!!!?! They really do mean it when they say that the inner pot is non-stick. After all, it's main priority is making rice. I know for some people that may be a downside if they intend to burn and deglaze their pot for extra flavor in their dishes, but for rice.. it's a godsend, an absolute godsendd. And then if you add in the auto-clean function on top of that, amazing! Just give your dirty pot a quick rinse with some soapy water and then pop it back in the machine with some water for the auto-clean sterilization and you're ready for next time. Like most cuckoos, you'll be rewarded for cooking rice with the brand's cute little jingle at the end. It honestly makes my day everytime hahahha.

I bought the Cuckoo CRP-RT0609FB - 6 Cups, Twin Pressure Rice Cooker & Warmer specifically for brown rice. The Cuckoo arrived, I used the instructions in the manual to quickly change the vocal prompts to English, put it through the self-clean cycle, loaded two cups of mixed brown and red rice, added water to the line marked two under GABA Rice, closed the lid, turned the knob to PRESSURE, the Cuckoo prompted me to choose a pre-set, so I chose GABA/PRESSURE. 40 minutes later, the Cuckoo announced the rice was finished cooking. I opened the Cuckoo to find perfectly cooked brown/red rice. The Cuckoo automatically went into KEEP WARM mode. The first batch was just a test. Over the next 48 hours, my wife and I sampled a little here and there until we'd eaten it all. After 48 hours, if anything, the rice seemed even better than when first cooked. Took the pot out of the Cuckoo and worried for a moment about how difficult it might be to clean after keeping rice warm for 48 hours. I needn't have worried. A splash of water and a quick sponge and the pot was perfectly clean. The non-stick coating works really well. I don't know how long one can hold rice in the KEEP WARM mode, but 48 hours was certainly not a problem. Perfect brown/red rice in 40 minutes, 48 hours in KEEP WARM and it still tasted great and the pot was a breeze to clean. I am extremely happy with my purchase! I know this multi-cooker can do a whole bunch of other things and I'm looking forward to exploring, but to me, everything else is just a bonus.

This barely got out of the box. Even though the cooking pot was only 3 quart, as requested, the machine around it was very heavy and complicated looking. This machine is actually oval, even though the pot is round. So it is not compact and round as the pictures [and videos] suggest. It is 13 lbs, for which I would expect something with a lot more volume. SB
