The spring mechanism inside the rotating suction cup generates a very annoying rattle. I spent a few hours trying to figure out where the rattle in my vehicle was originating from only to discover it was inside this phone holder. Doesn't seem to be any way to stop the rattle. my older one of this product after using for more than a year started to drop my phone very often. So i replaced it with the same one. I like the twist and lock design of this product. It works better than other products i have tried in the past. This could be better if they had a small holder under to prevent a heavier phone from dropping. Otherwise, it works great. ... show more

This is a unit that is well made from quality parts. It is all plastic, but very sturdy. Suction from the cup to the windscreen glass is secure and easy. The reason I have marked it down is that it vibrates quite a bit when you are driving along, meaning that the phone screen (I have an iPhone XR ) is not readable - you have to support it with your hand. This seems to be the case with all these suction-cup phone mounts. This is better than most I have used, but still some way from perfect. ... show more

    • What's the point if the adhesive melts?

Bought this a little while ago, month or something like that. Glued it onto the dash. Worked great for a month, then whatever adhesive they used just completely melted in the summer heat and the thing won't stay on anymore. I live in Minnesota, and while it gets pretty hot here in the summer I'd guess probably 95% of people in the world live in places that are warmer a larger percentage of the time, and if this product is easily defeated by a relatively normal week of summer than I really can't recommend this thing to anyone unless they're gonna use a stronger bonding agent. This is supposed to be a semi-permanent feature of your vehicle. Why bother including the adhesive if its rendered utterly pointless by totally normal conditions for a car's interior? Sell the thing with the proper adhesive, or don't, and tell people which kinds are going to work consistently and not damage the car's dashboard if removed. Seems simple to me. As it stands, a month of service for this thing sucks as it came highly recommended. Lots of people are just gonna junk this thing after the adhesive fails and that's just more waste for no good reason. Silly. ... show more

This is the third mount I’ve purchased and is the best, by far. We’ve used it as a dash mount and window mount, both are solid. Installation was easy and materials seem to be very high quality. Highly recommend for those in the market.
