  • Too slow with Windows, but flies on ChromeOS Flex
With Windows installed, you can probably only keep a maximum of four browser windows open before the device become so sluggish it is in operable. This is torture for any person, young or old. A Computer should be responsive. However, installing Google‘s ChromeOS Flex” operating system makes this thing a highly responsive speed demon. Similar comments have been made about Ubuntu. Installing ChromeOS Flex was easy with USB drive and some YouTube tutorials. ... show more

  • Great little Windows11 machine, but will be slow for some heavyweight applications
OK so I just needed a small PC to leave behind and access remotely to run web interfaces and some lightweight programs. This is is perfect, it's so small, silent, light, and doesn't even generate heat. Its chassis is beautiful, feels nice to the touch, it's basically perfect. It comes with a wall mount adapter too, which is fantastic. It also has auto-power-on feature on power loss. So bottom line is: for basic, light applications, this mini PC is great. But I think that if you start running Office and other heavyweight applications, this might not be the best machine. I can tell it because I run an app called UniFi Network Controller and it does slow the machine quite a lot. ... show more

  • Really good for basic stuff
I purchased this unit for my wife to use in her Craft Room for her Cricut & Sublimation printer. This was easy to set up and works pretty well. It turns on and loads up quickly. We do not use it for gamming and I would not recommend it for such. If you just need something basic to do light duty stuff, then this is a great value. I almost purchased a new Laptop for her, but am glad I went this route. ... show more

  • A great starter computer for the kid.
My daughter loves Minecraft and was really expanding out to other video games. And it was getting to the point where she was sitting at my computer more than I was. This fits the bill to what she needs as it can run Minecraft without issue and also chew thru the less intense titles on my steam library. coupled with streaming on Xbox Ultimate I don't need a huge box sitting in her room sucking up power. Being able to do homework on a 25' monitor on the desk instead of hunched over her tiny Chromebook is also a plus. ... show more

  • Beelink Mini PC T4 Pro N3350 Celeron CPU 4GB memory 64GB storage
I got this to run Pi-Hole, but have yet to set that up. Instead, I wanted to try out this computer as it is, so I took it out to the living room and plugged it into the TV and sound-bar. Plugged in a spare keyboard and mouse. Windows 10 came up and Wi-Fi found and connected to my router. This is actually a good little browsing computer. Fast enough to play youtube videos and I used it like this for a couple weeks. But I wanted to put Linux on it, so I made the recovery drive (needs 16GB) in case I want to go back. I don't like trying to maintain dual-booting. For speed, I connected a network cable to the router and installed Debian 11. Good thing, because there is no Wi-Fi driver under Linux. I checked the Intel site, and they have a Windows driver for this chip-set, but no Linux driver. Otherwise, Linux works well on this machine and I'm still using it as a TV browser with Firefox. (and network cable) If you ever wanted to just experiment with Linux, this is a cheap way to go and won't mess with your regular computer. I tried the Bluetooth, and was able to send a photo to my phone, but it was a bit slow. Bluetooth is just not fast enough for large files. Linux seems a little bit slower than Windows was, but neither is uncomfortable. I might also mention that this tiny box stays cool. Overall, a winner. ... show more

  • using it for wireguard and OpenVPN, works great
Running Ubuntu 22.04, and getting ~350 Mb/sec for wireguard and ~150 Mb/sec for OpenVPN for home use. This is a lot cheaper than getting an RPi 4 plus a case and accessories these days. With a Celeron N3550 and 4 GB of DDR3 RAM it does not even break a sweat running wireguard and OpenVPN. I probably wouldn't use it for a Windows desktop daily driver (I booted it into Windows once and tried it; it was pretty slow) but as a headless Linux box it's great. The only negative is that the USB port hardware is a little cheap. I accidently tried to plug in a USB A connector in upside down (who hasn't done that before?) and the plastic tab inside the port broke off. Since this thing has like 5 or 6 total USB ports this was not a big deal but just something to be aware of. ... show more

  • Can't resolve random heartbeat audio sound
Great value and runs fine. I use this primarily to run spotify, sending audio to daisy chained receivers for our home audio. It displays on our TV when needed, but we usually control through our phones spotify app. We leave it on all the time. Occasionally and randomly (about once an hour maybe?) we hear a thump, thump; like a heartbeat through the speakers throughout the house. sometimes it seems related to when we are turning on another network connected device like a phone or xbox. It always makes teh noise when I connect to spotify before it starts playing. The old media server computer I had from Acer did not do this. I've updated drivers, searched windows forums, and grounded the computer with no change. Now I try to turn down all the house speaker dials before bed. Still a good value for most applications, but I wish we did not get the extra sounds. Will update if I find a solution. ... show more

  • Worked for me
I replaced my 10 year old HP small factor with this little gem. I did not know these minis were a thing. Smaller than a box of chocolates, this runs all my programs faster than my old machine. If you don't need a cd drive this is the way to go.
