I’ve been waiting for a truly powerful handheld PC, and the ROG Ally delivers. The performance is impressive, handling most of my games with ease. The screen is vibrant, and the ergonomics are comfortable for extended play sessions. The Windows 11 interface takes some getting used to on a handheld, but the Armoury Crate SE software makes it much smoother. Battery life is decent for a device this powerful. Overall, I'm extremely happy with my purchase. As a long-time PC gamer, I was skeptical about handheld gaming, but the ROG Ally has completely won me over. The ability to play my favorite PC games anywhere is incredible. The device itself feels premium and well-built. The performance is top-notch, and the customization options are excellent. If you're looking for a high-end handheld gaming experience, this is it. So far the only thing I have upgraded on my console is the SSD, I put a 1TB SSD into my device and it was very simple to do, the warranty on this device is Amazing, if anything goes wrong on the device I just let Asus know and they handle it, this is the device without the extreme processor and if your okay with that than this is your winner, if the prices were cheaper at the time, I would have got the extreme model, but this one does a fantastic job in the time being, I’m very happy with my purchase, Thank You.

The Steam Deck is nice, but it only plays some of my games. This plays them all. Think about it: you are playing games on a windows PC. Think what you want about windows and Microsoft, we are talking about playing games here. The Ally plays windows games. I don't need to worry about if my Steam games are in Linux or not. This is important for playing new and old games. Most older games are not going to be Deck verified. As for function, the Ally is great. I have it because I like to move my PC between rooms and even take it on trips. I do NOT use it for handheld gaming. I have a Nintendo Switch for that. But I do dock it to the living room big screen and enjoy. You can buy a couple of docks and easily move the system from room to room. I used to lug my 30lb tower on a luggage trolly between rooms, no joke. As for performance, this little PC delivers. With in reason. It runs everything I throw at it, it does not run all of those games on ultra or high settings. That was never, I don't think, the point of the product. So don't expect this to rivel a $3000 gaming rig. I knew that coming into it. And I am ok with it, in fact thrilled. This costs so little that I am really impressed. It doesn't overheat, I play it for hours each day. It has a lot of tweakable features for performance and customization. It does look good and play good when in handheld mode, I just like the big screen in my living room. I am really glad that I picked this up. IMO, this type of product is likely the future of gaming. These will just continue to improve and so long as the price remains approachable, I think you will see products like this for years to come.

I got a deal on this at Amazon. The only issue is that the Xbox app doesn't work. It doesn't install the download. Every other app works fine, Epic, Discord, Steam. Xbox Cload I was finally able to get it installed and working. But the Xbox app is a no go.

I think it should be a little bit cheaper for the price that it is but other then that it’s definitely what you pay for and is perfect for handheld gaming the battery in it all depends on how big the games are your playing very easy to use download speed seems pretty decent to me and the compatibility to my Xbox games form my console is great I can basically play every single game I Owen on Xbox and steam it’s great quality on the games are decent could be better if they used an OLED screen instead but I like how you can enhance the quality a little bit so I would give it 6/10 but it’s still not anything your really gonna notice I mean you definitely can if you compare the two but it’s still good

I purchased the Ally (not Ally X) for when I’m traveling and so far this is perfect. The 500 GB of memory is plenty. You don’t need to download more than 3-4 games at one time anyway. When playing on “game pass” battery life is long but some games might jump a little bit based on connection and complexity of the game. When playing a single player game and have it downloaded they play perfectly. Battery life suffers when playing a downloaded title versus game pass but performance is better. I will save playing online multiplayer like COD for series X at home. Playing mostly while it is plugged in except for flights. I guess I didn’t realize how great the technology is but this thing is terrific and I highly recommend. Unless you plan on making this your only system I don’t see spending the extra money for the X.
