It's a basic bee smoker. It works well.

    • Nice budget option
This is a nice little bee smoker. The main construction is nice, being the thick walled canister and wire cage/shield. The joints and attachments seem a little questionable, and I wonder how long the lid hinge will last, but so far so good. I like that the cage/ shield comes down under the canister to keep it off the ground and grasses. The hook on the side needed some bending to fit on my hive box, but is a nice feature. Be sure to bend the tabs down on the internal breather plate (this keeps the bellows from sucking the flame back into itself when pumping). The bellows leather seems good enough though the wood seems cheap. I don't foresee any problems that are critical, especially not at the price. *bonus tip: use a trimmed wine cork to stop up the top, so your fuel suffocates quicker when your done* ... show more

I have to replace a smoker every year or two...I ran over the last one. Smoker works fine, no complaints. I also keep a supply of J hook tools...that was a bonus.

    • Great smoker, good quality, and good price.
Super good quality. The leather on the billows is thick. Has that air space base thing which seems to help. AND got a free $9 value hive tool!! My only tip, maybe consider the larger version, I would bow. Way easier to let the extra fuel burn up, than run out of smoke before inspections are done.
