I like the variety of spell and ritual ideas. If you are just starting out on your spell work journey, this is a nice collection of ideas to use and modify to your practice. If you are advanced in your practice this deck might not offer much, but could be used to ask spirit for guidance on what type of spell work will serve you best. The cards are nice and slick but not shinny. The card stick is on the thin side, but I wasn’t planning on shuffling these cards so it’s not a problem. I don’t think there is a real need for the mini companion book. Most people buying these probably have a full blown book on spells or Wicca or something similar that delves deeper into what the book provides. I wish they had spent the book money on creating a solid box. The cards are housed in an annoying clear box that is glued onto a four sided shell with a magnetic side. I feel like that clear plastic is going to get very brittle over time and make it useless for storing the cards. It’s not a deal breaker and I still think the cards alone are worth the price.

...because after taking a closer look at the product after I received it, the reviews definitely appear to be a bit petty and ridiculous. First off...There’s absolutely NOTHING wrong with the packaging. In case no one has figured it out yet, the clear plastic holding the spell cards that’s encased in the cardboard box is not removable. It wasn’t meant to be. It’s LITERALLY what holds the cards inside the box. The only way for it to become damaged is if you: A) Mishandle the cardboard box (i.e. rip the sealed tape off the packaging instead of using a box cutter/knife/scissors) AND/OR B) Try to pull the plastic case out of the cardboard box (which you are NOT supposed to do) or mishandle the plastic case in some other way. The cardboard has a flap with a magnetic strip to give you easier access to the cards as well as the included booklet (which IS removable.). As far as the Gold foil (paint, markings, WHATEVER it is) goes...I honestly couldn’t give a damn if it peeled off within an hour of delivery because I didn’t purchase it for the visuals....I purchased it for THE SPELLS. If you end up using the cards frequently, chances are it’ll start to peel regardless. Which just adds to its charm, in my opinion. Now about the PRODUCT itself...if you’re a new witch (such as myself) or a busy witch or even a witch who wishes to do a quick spell, then these are the cards for you. If you’re a witch that prefers intricate spells, then you’ll probably want to look elsewhere because that’s not what these cards are intended for. Either way, I LOVE them and I am VERY happy with my purchase.

This is a very interesting little deck of 100 practical witch's spells all in a compact, small box. The individual cards, I believe, are made of plastic, so there is no worry about water or other fluid damage. The text is printed on these plastic cards (which have gold edges) so it would probably be best to handle the cards on their edges and not leave finger oils or touch wear to erase the writing over time. There are a lot of different spells and simple directions printed on each card to implement whatever workings you seek to perform. Inside the top flap of the outer box you'll find a small guide book to charging, tools, and herbs to use. I took off one star because I don't like the inner and outer box set-up. This deck arrived with clear discs of tape to hold the ends of the inner box in place. It was a headache to get all of the sticky residue from the discs off. The clear plastic box/container inside holds the actual cards. It took me a long time to realize that, in the final analysis, the clear plastic insert box opens on one end only, making this an end-load box; like any other standard cardboard deck box. I would have preferred to have all sides to the cardboard box present with the magnetic closure and the cards being withdrawn with a ribbon or just overturning the box and dumping the cards into my hand. I think the box for this set is unnecessarily complicated with a net results of the same-old-same-old end-loading standard cardboard type box. I don't like the plastic insert box, either. For me, it has a creepy feel to it. The other thing I didn't care for is that the bar-coding is located on the magnetic flap side; I think it should be located on the back side only, out of sight. For eleven dollars, though, this is an interesting deck, and something any collector or practitioner might like to have in their arsenal.

Yes, like other posts have said, the box is crap...with that being said, the deck is still awesome. I threw out the crappy box the cards came in and put them in a wooden tarot box instead. I love how you can shuffle the deck like oracle cards, and out pops your message of what ritual to do for that time - at least that is how I use them. Nice concept and the cards themselves are quality and you get quite a lot of them in this deck. Highly recommend - but do yourself a favor and put them in a box you like!

I barely write a review for things on Amazon but this deck delighted me too much not to. It is perfect for individuals who are starting on their paths and working on building a daily/weekly practice. These cards are not only magickal spell cards but also assist in spiritual development which I love. I plan to use these with the Witches’ Datebook planner. There is a really good variety of spells in the deck and most of them are simple. If you do not work with deities (such as myself, I work with my guides and ancestors), you can easily revise the spell to your specifications. It is a perfect gift for any witch out there. My only complain is the box that it is in, it’s annoying as hell but still manageable. Regardless, placing the deck in a card bag will suffice.

As an experienced Grey- I must say this was rather delightful- full of knowledge for beginners and reminders for ghe kkre experienced Witch. Honestly I want to purchase multiples of these for birthday and yule presents. Absolutely adorable. Btw those complaining about the plastic were too impatient opening the package to realize it's actually apart of the packaging- simply take a knife and cut along the seam after removing the stickers and then the outer plastic will fme off so you can use the protective oaxakgibg which is actually well done. By the complaining of the packaging you can tell who actually takes the time to research... Lol- patience serves us all well &something that really comes to us in our 30s and 40s..

This deck is cute. I'm not giving it 3 stars because I dislike it. However, most of these spells are not exactly what i'd call "practical" or "every day". First, there are multiple that are around planting trees. Like, more than one spell is around planting a tree. I don't think thats a bad spell per se, but when I think "practical, every day" I don't really think "go plant a tree in my backyard." That's the most extreme example, but I ended up going through and just pulling out the ones I thought would actually be useful to me and it was maybe 1/5 of the deck (shown in pic). And to be frank... even the ones I pulled arent really the best spells imo. Also, there's a cute little book on the inside with some intro to witchcraft stuff. Great, cute addition, again not exactly the most "practical" thing imo but whatever. But there is NO list of the spells in the deck anywhere in that little booklet. You have to go through the cards one-by-one to see whats available. Girl i cant memorize all of that. Even a tiny little list added in the back of that booklet would've made this a 4 star review for me. Lastly, there are a lot of references to deities in this. That's fine but it's marketed as a "Witch's spell deck", not a "Wiccan's spell deck" or something similarly deity-centric. All-in-all, it's cute but in my opinion it's more of a novelty item than an actual "practical" spell deck. It will probably set on my desk as an ornament :/
