I was surprised at the strength of this railing. It is very strong; I am not a small person and have no problem getting myself up from a laying to sitting position. The handles are covered with non-slip soft material like foam, assembled easily and is height adjustable for those with lower or higher beds, slides right up under the mattress, and rail folds out away from the bed. It can also be used to help stand. Has a handy locket on the outside that a remote fits into as well as my cell phone. It is the perfect width and height for my needs and can be adjusted as needed. Very well built, heavy in weight, not flimsy, and I love it. Price is very reasonable considering what it is needed for. If you are thinking about a railing, this one could be perfect for you. Not full size or even half size bed rail but rather a quarter size. Try it.

This is a perfect bed rail. Love the light that comes on, helps when getting up in middle of night. It is low profile but big enough to do the job it was purchased for. I love that you can fold down the handle when not in use. My bedroom does not look like a nursing home! It was easy to put together and get it in place. Feel so much safer now. No rolling out of bed and handle is great for assisting in getting out of bed.
