This bed rail is strong. sturdy and handy to have access to. I was concerned the 12" length was too short, but its not when pushed all the way up by the pillows. It's easy to get around. The length that goes between the mattresses is long enough for a strong secure hold. It was very easy to put together. I also like the rubber handle that goes over the top and around the corners. My husband griped about getting it, but now uses it all the time getting in and out of bed.

This bed rail assembles very quickly and easily. It comes with a strap for you to run under the mattress and secure to the bed frame on the other side. I didn't bother with that as it wasn't needed in my case. I pull on the new rail instead of pushing it, so there's nothing to hold back. and it feels sturdy. I like that the height is adjustable. The only thing I don't like about this product is the way the optional pocket attaches to the rail. It just has an odd little hook and slot for each upper corner of the pocket. But if you put something in the pocket and lift it out, the pocket easily comes up with it. There are better ways to secure a pocket to a hand rail. I decided to remove it altogether. I'll take a star off for that, but the rest of the hand rail works well for my needs. The value is right for the price point.

You have to really pull tight to secure the rail to the bed frame. I have it on an adjustable bed. It seems secure and would give my elderly mother support getting up from the bed. Unfortunately she won't use it much. I found a video that was helpful on how to assemble and install. Glad I did because the instructions are not very good.

Safety is the best. I fell from my bed fracturing my tailbone. I have almost developed PTSD as I am so concerned about falling again. This safety bed rail has given me more confidence in getting out and in of the bed and I don't have to call my husband for assistance. Easy to install, perfect size adding support. The pockets are an added benefit as my drinks and phone are at easy reach. I recommend this device.
