Just what I needed for my aching back after surgery

I installed these rails on both sides of my king size mattress. After my lumbar spine surgery I needed a way to use my hands and arms to help me roll my body from side to side so I could sleep on either side or on my back. These rails gave me something solid to hold onto and thus helped me to manipulate my body during that rolling process. I am a bit overweight and rolling from side to side was not always an easy task even before my surgery. Since the size of my kingsize mattress only lets me reach one railings at at time, I fastened the supplied strap onto the upper bar with the rubber on it on one of the rails which allows me to grab the strap with my hand. By pulling on the strap I can roll my body onto the side. All this sounds a bit complicated, but it is not and works great. I did not have to strap the rails to the bed frame for stability. I slipped the lower part of the assembled rails between the box sping and the top mattress which holds the rails very solidly. These bed rails are also very useful for getting in and out of the bed. The rails are of good quality and are very easy to assemble. The part of the rails that slips between the mattress and the box spring is adjustable; I fully extended it for good stability when positioned between the mattresses. The vertical part of the rails is also adjustable to accommodate different thicknesses of mattresses. I am very happy to have found these rails at Amazon, they have made it much easier to move/roll my body from side to side and to get in and out of bed. Also, the rails are narrow enough and do not interfere with getting in and out of bed.I can highly recommend to install these rails, they have made my live so much easier. I think the price is a very fair price for these high quality bedrails. Amazon delivered the rails one day after placing the order. How much better can it get.

Perfect Assist Rail — Sturdy, Simple, and Truly Helpful

Bought this for my uncle while he was visiting. He’s a stroke patient and struggles with turning in bed, and this rail made a huge difference. It was easy to assemble, slid right under the mattress, and stayed solid on a queen bed. He’s about 250 lbs, and it supported him without shifting. Highly recommend for anyone needing extra stability.

Great for while recovering from surgery

I bought this after an abdominal hysterectomy to help me get in and out of bed. This has been a great purchase and of so much help for me. It’s very sturdy. I have a thick mattress so we didn’t tie it around the bed because our mattress is very heavy by itself. Is working very well so far two weeks in. I weight 175 pounds and would definitely purchase again and recommend to anyone that needs help getting in or out of bed.

Great Bed Rail Assist

This Bed rail is great! Has long extension to fit under the mattress, I fractured my L1 vertebrae, and this rail helps me get out of bed, without needing help. The attachable pouch holds water bottle, TV remote and my kindle.

easy assembly and placement

This bed rail features easy assembly and slides under the mattress for installation. A belt is included should you need to fasten the underside of the rail to the bed/bed rail however I installed the railing under a twin mattress and there is no need for strapping the rail in place. Total assembly and installation - less than 10 minutes. Comes with pocket attached to rail for storage of remote, tissues, book, whatever. The rail is sturdy, and also provides help with patient using to sit up, roll toward rail side, turning, etc. Patient feels safer and more independent as she can move about more in bed without asking for help from person - the rail is a great grab bar!!

Multi use sturdy bed rail with pockets.

I just love this product for helping me rise and lay down in bed when I'm in pain. Prior to it I was using my elbows to sit up in bed which as strained my arms & torso. The included pocket has been nice to hold my water bottle, medicines,TV remote & body scrub brush near but not on my bed! However, the pocket stitching is cheap and comes apart after a few heavy uses! The material also seems to stretch and become baggy. Users may have to SELF repair.
