I can't tell you how much I love this cooktop! It's perfect for outside cooking when it's too hot to cook inside (which is pretty much all of the summer in the South). The strong burners sit high enough to adequately heat the bottom of large-ish pans and they're spaced far enough apart where to good sized pans fit without any cold spots. The tempered glass top is easy to clean. The cooktop comes with and extra set of burner knobs and feet. The hose is long enough to reach from my tank to the cooktop without being stretched tight when the cooktop sits on the top of my Keter Unity XL Outdoor Kitchen Cart. After it cools down, it slips easily on the open shelf for storage. The cooktop is solid, of good weight, and securely holds full pots.

I recently received my new "Gas Stove 2 Burner Propane Stove Two Burner Portable Gas Cooktop, Tempered Glass Auto Ignition LPG Cooker, Suitable for Outdoor/Camping/RVs (RED)". This is a pretty decent unit that offers a nice stovetop setup. It came with extra pieces as well. As far as portable, well, that is relative. As far as portability is concerned, it is heavy, the grates that fit over the burners do not come with any sort of attachment to keep them with the stove, and there is no carrying case. Careful packing will be required so you don't break the stovetop. Now, the unit heats up food quickly and evenly. I like that it runs on propane as opposed to the smaller green butane tanks. It comes with its own hose and regulator and is easy to setup. The appearance is very nice and cleanup is relatively easy. Overall, I like the unit, however a bag to keep it protected as well as the pieces together would be very helpful.

I have been looking for a single burner stove that would connect to a 20 pound propane tank so that I can keep my cooking all outdoors during warmer months when we're barbequing. I love corn on the cob when I smoke a chicken or have burgers during the months that we can get fresh, local corn. Last night I got the opportunity to fire this one up for the first time. First, I am impressed with the overall design of the stove. The glass top provides an easy surface for cleaning up any spills, and looks fantastic. I got the black model. The burners appeared to provide quite a bit of heat to get my pot of water boiling in a reasonable timeframe. I did notice that it's a little tough to tell whether the flame is burning when it's bright outside, but I did notice a slight glow after close inspection, and I could see swirl patterns in the sunlight as it cast past the burner onto our deck. Unburned propane has a pretty potent smell to it as well, which could provide a clue if it's not lit. Overall, the stove/burner met all of my expectations. I recommend it to anyone looking for a good outdoor cooking solution. I have smaller stoves for camping. This unit is definitely a bit larger than what I would take camping, but could work for that purpose if you have plenty of space in your vehicle for a 20 pound propane tank and the stove. Five Stars.

I ordered this stove for a couple of reasons. We recently changed household cooking from liquid propane to an electric induction range with a convection oven. This left us with few backup cooking options should we have a power failure. We use a wood cookstove much of the winter but that isn't a viable option in the warm months. We always have a 20# propane tank around for the barbeque. That provides gas for this stove when we need it. The second reason is, the induction range will not heat up one of my favorite tools - a steamer juicer I use to make fruit juices. It has an aluminum bottom which will not heat up. I recently had a large blueberry crop to process. I went through the process of setting up the stove. Assembly wasn’t complicated but the grate for holding things above the burner was difficult to remove. I was nested underneath and wrapped around some structure. I had to remove a screw to get it out. I placed the stove on a picnic table near the BBQ and connected it to the tank. Operation wasn’t hard to figure out. I got it going quickly. It has a very good heat range. On a high setting, it heated the water in the juicer to boiling very quickly. I made my juice then decided to try cooking something on low heat. I fried up a couple of eggs for sandwiches. On low heat it was perfect for a small cast iron pan. I really like this stove. It is simple, well made and very versatile.

This is marketed as being used for camping among other things. I am not sure a glass top, even tempered glass, is the best idea for camping. I used it on my back porch for canning. There is ample room for two large canners and it heated the water very well. Lots of BTUs!
