It does give a soft beep sound with the remote-downside for me but maybe not you. When turning the power on you have to press the remote again. It doesn't go to your last setting ... show more

Unboxed the entire fan, installed the main ceiling mount and the down road assembly. Then began installing the wireless control module. Then the blue power wire broke free from the module’s circuit board… ugh) called Amazon, had to take it all down, rebox the entire fan, take it back to UPS and still waiting on a replacement. Overall from order to now it’s been 2 weeks. When I took the control box apart you can see where some of the other wire connections have been reinforced with epoxy, but not the one that broke. Seemed odd and poor quality control. I got a great deal on the fan, now I’m wondering if it was such a great deal. ... show more
