Well if you know Battery Tender then you already know what this review will say. If you do not know this brand please read. The size is what you would expect from this item, there are smaller foot print battery tenders available but the charge rate does drop. This particular model work amazingly well The charge rate is exactly what one would hope for in a tender - it is not a "fast" charge as it is not meant to be; However, it does get the battery full quickly The indicator lights are bright and easy to read/understand at a quick glance Battery Tender durability is excellent I have a few actually one is over 10 years old and going strong

I have used Battery Tenders for many years on my motorcycles (now sold), second home cars and weekend driver cars. I always make a hard connection at the battery terminals, rather than using the alligator clips which come with the kit. The clips can be removed from the charger cable leaving eyelets which can be used to bolt the cable directly to the battery terminals. Then I just plug the charger into the cable when I leave the car. It's also a good idea to plug the charger into a surge protector rather than directly into the wall receptacle, in case of a power surge or interruption in power.

I’ve been using this charger for a bit now, and it's doing exactly what I needed it to. Switching between 6V and 12V is easy, and it works well with both my car battery and an old motorcycle battery I had lying around. I appreciate that it supports multiple battery types, including lithium and AGM, since I’ve got a mix in the garage. The unit feels solid and well-made, and it doesn’t get too hot while running. I also like that it's automatic—it switches to maintenance mode on its own, so I don’t have to worry about overcharging. It’s compact and stores easily when not in use. Overall, it’s been reliable and simple to use. Definitely a good investment if you want to keep your batteries topped off and ready to go.

This worked like a champ. Not only did it charge up my car battery but kept it charged till I needed it. It’s a quality product built well and a great value. A must have for classic car owners who only drive once in a while.

I really like battery tenders for maintaining battery charge in seldom used vehicles. My only gripe with this particular model is that it does not include a pig tail to hard wire to the battery. It did allow you to in bolt the alligator clips and use its ring terminal. It that way I think they thought they had the pig tail covered but the rings are way too small. I did use that wire but had to solder on my own ring terminals to make it work.

Large for the output, works well, has a rough wave form so it is advised to remove neg. cable from vehicle battery and charge battery directly.
