I was surprised when my electrician recommended theses battery operated exterior lights. I needed some lights for safety walking from car to back steps. We are still in project phase of area as a fence will be installed in the spring, but we need light now to illuminate the steps. These are a great solution. Each fixture takes 3 C batteries, which admit seems like a lot… and pricie. But they have solved our problem with ease. The lights are bright and are motion sensored so they come on as you approach. If you walk real fast, one might think the lights do not come on fast enough. For the most part, they work great for us and have solved the problem of dark steps until our permanent lights are installed next spring. When that happens I’m sure we will find another location for these very practical battery operated spot lights. I can’t comment on longevity but so far working great after 3 weeks. Great value, was skeptical until I got it set up and tested. IT WORKS! Not only that, but it's function set is great and easy to understand & set. You can decide the length of time, the sensitivity and the strength of the light it emits. The first thing you notice when up unpack, it how light it is. It has a very "Temu" feel to it. Very light, very plasticky (and very cheap overall feel). This didn't bother me much because I only paid 29 bucks & was not expecting the world from it. I was not expecting for it to live up to the reviews but guess what? It does! Throws off a lot of light (or a little, if that's what you want) and the trigger is FAST. Sensitive and fast, I tested this alongside my Wyze Outdoor Camera Pro, it lights up quicker and throws out more. So yeah it's still plasticky & light, might blow out in a year or two for for this price, WORTH IT. Go buy it, set it up and enjoy some very inexpensive night time security. I’ve had these in the backyard for several months now. I like that you have some control of how long it stays on. It’s not a super bright spotlight, but does the job in my backyard. These are working really well for me. I mounted them to the corner of my house to shine on my steps and the walkway leading to them. Because of the two adjustable wings of the two lights I was able to illuminate the steps with one light and the walkway with the other, and I was pleasantly surprised that they put out adequate light. You screw a mounting bracket to the wall, and the light unit with batteries easily slides out of the bracket. There are controls for adjusting both the sensitivity of the motion sensor, and the time that the light stays on. The motion sensor works very well. It will be interesting to see how long the batteries last, But I'm very satisfied so far with this product and I would recommend it. ... show more

The batteries make this item heavy too, so bolting it against the wall demanded strong nails.
