This hydroponics system is super awesome, it is a 8 pod unit which is perfect for my reptile room growing my tortoise dandelion and lettuce. It comes with everything I needed to get started and the light is nice and bright. I keep this smaller unit in my reptile room as I have other larger units in my kitchen and when I saw they had a cute 8 pod I had to get it just for my Chubby Checker Chester to try out and I love it. It is a real nice hydroponic grow system and I like I can grow all year round for him and specifically for him in this one. Everything is thriving and it is not as easy to grow dandelion as one may think. I am very happy with this unit and would recommend highly, everything is thriving. Thank you!

This was not exactly what I was looking for, since I had a plant I was wanting to us in it. There are small holes designed for growing seeds in the provided sleeves. You can remove the lid with the plastic holes, but there is no flat bottom under the lid and it's just not a good place to put another plant. Instead, I just put my planter on top of the base and lifted the light high enough to fit the plant. So the base is mostly useless to me, but the top light works fine and hopefully will keep my plant alive in my house. I would not hold that against the item if you just wanted to grow some seeds every time, but I'm taking a star away because it isn't very flexible for existing plants. 4 stars.

In the past few years I have come to really enjoy hydroponic growing systems. Even better, this particular model almost twins with one of two of my favorite models--same footprint, same number of growing cells, same height adjustment of the light, pretty much a carbon copy, etc. It is easy to put together and to start using. The first seeds which I planted in this unit (all basil) have all started growing well. Since this unit is almost like another of mine, I am hoping that it will also have the longevity of it (in a couple of other models which I had the light unit stopped working in one and the pump stopped working in another, but everything has continued to work well with the twin of this unit), and I will update this review if something goes wrong. I am very pleased with this unit and its growing capability.

This has everything you need to start in hydroponics. I have a decent amount of experience with hydroponics. I have 200 plant system in my greenhouse and this is a great set to get you started or to grow some small herbs or other vegetables inside. It has everything you need to get started minus the seeds. The supplied nutrients are pretty concentrated and will probably last a couple of harvests. The grow light is very bright and the seedlings I've started appear to be thriving. This is a great value. Very much recommended.

I set it up and got it started. Everything works and the instructions are clear,though it is a very easy thing to set up. I have a different brand that has larger wells i like a bit better but this one takes up less counter space and is more attractive looking.
