Finding the right equipment for my senior adult clients to remote train during the pandemic was critical and the best bench for the job proved to be the Barwing Folding bench! This very reasonably priced equipment has proven itself over the past two years with multiple clients to be reliable, durable, easy to use, and the folding feature superb for in home use. The Barwing folding weight lifting bench is a no nonsense design that looks great and performs exceptionally well for men and women. The adjustment ranges are high and easy to set and lock. The folding feature is simple and straightforward; many of my senior clients just fold it up and neatly put it away when we’re done training. There are no unnecessary “bells and whistles” to this weight bench to jack up the price and the handles on the bench back are useful for a variety of core and assisted balance exercises but can be easily removed if not needed. I owned a commercial grade bench I acquired from a gym. It was excellent but heavy and unwieldy for in home use. After recommending this bench to my remote clients and seeing just how well it performed I gave away my high priced Italian made commercial grade gym bench and finally bought a Barwing folding bench for myself and my wife! It is perfect; light but strong. Easy enough for my 5’ 107 lbs. wife to move around and position but strong enough for my 220 lbs frame with weights to comfortably, safely, and without thought or worry about its stability or support to plow through my lifts! There are other great brands out there but if you want a better design for a reasonable price that folds beautifully for easier storage, go no further. This is the way! ... show more

I looked at 20 or so benches and was excited when my trainer found this one. Seemed perfect for the price. And it is really versatile, requires barely any assembly, is portable though full sized when set up and compact when folded. Comes with handy poster demoing categorized exercises. Just one annoyance: to adjust the bench, the knobs do NOT pop in, spring-like, as in the video. I wish. You can't feel the holes with just the knob in hand; you have to eyeball them and keep trying until you get it right. It's laborious. Annoying. Interruptive during workout. But it was ridiculously easy to assemble, despite the initially missing manual. Bench came in a box that was falling apart--beaten up, huge holes and accordioned, mushy cardboard. The bench itself was in a torn bag, and the manual was buried between two layers of cardboard taped together (to keep the box from falling apart?) with the largest transparent tape--8 inches wide--I've ever seen. Clearly a reject and resale, which inspired no confidence. The pin to keep the bench stable was floating around in the box, and the bench wobbled. Because I couldn't find the manual until I tried to reconstruct the box for a return, I went to the online videos, which helped me understand how to lock it for carrying. I had to use supplied wrenches to tighten some screws, but bench still wobbled a bit. I used furniture foot pads to even it out, so it’s pretty stable, and thus it morphed into a definite keeper—despite the difficulty adjusting it, contrary to the blithe and misleading motions of the online models. I would gladly have paid $20 more for spring-loaded knobs. Bottom line: Overall, under $350, it's absolutely the best, most versatile bench with minimal assembly, comparatively light weight, folds well if you don't mind obliterating your hard-won knob adjustments. I ordered this BARWING 10-7-4-3 Weight Bench because it has a seat that adjusts for a small gap and because it folds. It's a good value for money, easy to set up - it's mostly built when it arrives - and has more than one decline position, all of which are good features for my small space. I find the bench to be sturdy and stable, and the no-gap feature really does work. It's a little high off the floor for me, but I'm only 5'4', so I think it's a good height for most people. The angle choices for the seat and back are very useful, as is the ability to change the foot hold-down height and angle. The bench is firm with no smells or issues with the stitching or upholstery. There are some things I don't like. The pop-pins take a lot more unscrewing than I'd hoped, and some take more pulling after they're unscrewed enough, which means changing angles and positions is not fast or as easy as I'd hoped. The metal "handle" to carry it is sharp on the edges and definitely not ergonomic or comfortable in any way, but it does do the job for most, but I find it painful and clumsy to carry. Btw, the seat back isn't 13" as shown on the last pic - it's 11 1/2", and I did want a wider back. All that being said, this bench is a solid, stable bench that does fold up to save space. The padding is about right - it's not too hard or too soft. And you can remove the gap when you set the bench to flat. It's not as easy to fold and change positions as I had hoped, but it's still a good bench if you need a variety of seat and seat back positions and a bench that folds down to 32" for storage. ... show more

Very versatile bench that is great for home use. Compact foldable and has the most angles for back and seat positions. The gap between the seat and the back can be minimized making the bench extremely comfortable for longer training period - most compact benches don’t have this feature. I previously had a fly bird that I also bought from Amazon during the height of covid. this bench surpasses the fly bird in that is just as sturdy, compact but has much more back positions available and the seat is many more adjustments making this (in my opinion) more comfortable to use. ... show more
