    • First customer got a Bad batch of cooker with broken whistle.
I bought this cooker for traditional Indian cooking (dal/rice dishes). Though the cooker is strong & good, I got a bad batch. With my first use of simple white rice, the steam kept leaking. I turned off the stove to see that the whole rice was burnt down. It was so hard to clean the burnt part & that stain is stuck to the cooker inside :( When I tried the 2nd time, I realized the steam should not be releasing out. I checked for the video on Amazon website & came to know that the whistle is not the same. When examined, it's a broken whistle & I can't find that spare part anywhere. I wrote to them & they didn't respond. It's been a month since my purchase. Maybe it would have worked great if the steam did not escape due to broken whistle. Spent $66+ on this & is lying aside now. What a waste... ... show more

This was a replacement for my high end pressure cooker that decided to retire after 25 years. The lower profile and locking system on this new model is fabulous and a serious upgrade. The heat distribution is also excellent. Buying the next size up as well

    • It works so far.
I have used it just once and it did reduce my cooking time. It has a propensity to burn its contents, so the next time I will place a disc of ovenware glass at the bottom and see how that works out.
