Use: Bought this steering wheel to use for a garbage truck Halloween costume (built out of plywood on top of a Radio Flyer wagon). Form (how it looks): Perfect size and great green color. True to the 10" diameter measurement. Fit (how well it integrates): When paired with the sturdy plywood base that was the garbage truck, as well as the matte green milk-paint finish applied to the wood, this steering wheel matched really well due to both its heft and deeper green appearance. A similarly lighter green or lighter-weight wheel would not have paired well. Further, since this costume was built for a toddler, the wheel's robust structure is a good match for kids who will exert lots of force on it. Function (if it works): Works perfectly. Nice, solid and thick plastic, large attachment bolt (making it easy to install securely), and can be smacked around by kids for years I think with no issues. After installing it in the garbage truck, I've had no issues with anything coming loose or the wheel getting beat up by small children. While it doesn't take much to serve as kids pretend wheel, it feels very heavy and premium which IMO does contribute to improved function. NOTE: My ratings are based on 4 primary things - use, form, fit and function. If it is as it's described and looks good, fits the use case appropriately, and works as intended/expected/it should, I'm happy. I don't rate based on shipping times, seller friendliness, or anything not related to the product itself as I believe a review should be a reflection on the product itself. The media could not be loaded. Bought a used swing set and the one they had on there was sun rotted and cracked. It’s a perfect addition to a playhouse definitely worth the purchase! My kid loves to use it, I’d buy again if I needed to!

My kid loves it and it works and is durable, so that's a win. But I do have some minor complaints that caused me to dock it a star. 1) I wish the wheel were a little bigger. Yeah, I get it's for small hands, but this still seems overly small. I didn't see dimensions when I bought it, and admit I didn't really consider them, but wish I had. I've seen similar wheels in playgrounds that are a little bigger, and I wish this was like them. 2) the hub has it sitting very near whatever mounting block you have this on. So, for me, the most convenient place (as I feel it will be for most) was a 2x4 railing on the playset. Well, it's close enough I worry about little knuckles scraping the edge of the board. So I had to rig small block that I rounded with a router to act as sort of a steering column to make this work better and give me piece of mind. I'm sure it would've been fine the other way, but I didn't like it and it seems that the manufacturer could just extend the amount of plastic an inch or two and solve this problem easily. ... show more

The only thing I didn't care for was the yellow color as I was not using it outside on a playground but inside for a pirate ship. It's easy to install and turns easily. Just the right size for 4 and 5 year olds!
