Santa brought me a Ball Easycanner, Electric water bath canner and multi-cooker of Christmas in 2024. I have not had a chance to use my canner until June and into July of 2025. I want to state for the record that this Ball Electric Water Bath Canner is AMAZING!!!! It is SUPER EASY to clean. I put lemon juice in my water because our water is very hard. When I'm done, all I need to do is wipe it out (the lemon juice eliminates the hard water and cleans my canner at the same time). The canner fits perfectly on my counter next to my kitchen sink which makes draining the boiling water so easy. There is a slot for the drain spout on both sides of the base so no matter which direction you need to drain, you can. After I have everything set up, I set my canner to pre-heat my jars and then I start my recipe. By the time my recipe is ready, so are my jars. The speed of the canner is perfect. I have to process for 20 minutes for my elevation. The automatic canning is wonderful. All I need to do is set it and forget it. I love the glass lid so that I can see what is going on inside. I have yet to use the canner for steaming or for anyother reason. Maybe I can do an update at a later time. Since I bought my canner, the price has went up considerably, even at the higher price; this canner is wonderful. So far, I have processed 108 pints of apple, grape, and blueberry jelly. I purchased this canner to replace a Ball Electric Canner that no longer worked. Today I used it for the first time and was extremely pleased with the ease of use. When the jars are preheated for filling, a beep will sound. After you place the filled jars back in the canner, you set the time for processing. The canner will bring the water to the proper water temperature for processing before it begins to count down the time set on the timer. When processing is complete, you remove the lid and let set for 5 minutes. The canner will beep when the jars are ready to be removed. While the canner is running, it is quiet. The only thing you hear is the beep to let you know it is ready for the next step. ... show more

This made canning season a breeze and freed up my stove to cook multiple batches of jams, pie filling, etc at one time. I love the spigot feature that allows you to drain the water directly into the sink. Greatly reduced the stresss of keeping track of how long jars have been processing and if they're staying hot enough without the pot boiling over accidentally. The best part about this is that it didn't heat up my kitchen the way using a large canning pot on my stove does. PLUS zero stress about having a heavy pot of water on my glass top electric stove. I purchased it on sale but honestly, it would be worth every penny even if I paid full price. Only negative part was that the box had been smashed at some point during the shipping/delivery process and the lid was slightly dented/bent. I have been canning since I was a kid and that was 40+ years ago. We’re talking prep the garden, plant the seeds, weed and fertilize, harvest, cook and water bath it. All I can say is buy it. Just close your eyes and push the button. You won’t regret it. My house isn’t hot as hades. It keeps a very regulated temp I manually checked it through my first batch. We have a small garden at our house. We grow tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers that we can and put up. We have used a pot on a stove top in previous years. Having this canner has greatly simplified the canning process. The automatic timer function is great, and we love being able to plug the canner in areas outside of the kitchen. This has helped declutter the kitchen while canning. We are excited to try it in other ways like a shrimp boil this summer. Cleaning was super easy. On a safety note, the drain spigot allowed me to dump the hot water without having to lift a heavy pot of hot water.
