Had I written this review 24 hours ago it would have been less favorable. This is an attractive, color, digital clock with Atomic Time. The readout is large enough to be easily seen and includes the date, day, indoor temperature & humidity, as well as the time. It was the atomic time feature that was my primary reason for selecting this clock. I wanted to save myself some time and energy twice a year when it comes time to adjust for daylight saving time. Right out of the box the atomic time feature didn’t work. The clock just would not find the time signal. I was disappointed. It was easy to set the clock manually, but I wound up setting the clock a few seconds behind the actual time. Close enough! I was going to write a moderately positive review — 3 or 4 stars. Then, a day or two later, I noticed the antenna icon was steadily on — not flashing as it would during a search. When I compared the display time to the time on my iPhone it was accurate, down to the second. I needed to demonstrate some patience in order to learn this clock works!

This is a hard to find Desktop alarm atomic clock with lit display and show seconds in the display. The "show seconds" feature is useful to me for counting time without using a counter during cooking, checking pulse rates, etc ... The clock installed a backup battery CR2032 ( need to pull out the plastic isolating film) to keep every data during power outage. The RCC (atomic) signal receiving synchronizes the clock with the official time. The signal is better at night if you have problem during daytime. You can turn off the RCC signal receiving feature in the setting and manually adjust the time and date if the RCC signal is too weak in your area. But the day light saving time will not be automatically adjusted if you do it manually. The display brightness has 3 settings: strong, middle and off, can be switch through a button on top. The view angle of the display is very good left and right, but poor top and bottom. You can't see the display clearly and you are looking from the bottom. So you need to put the clock somewhere below the eye level.

Not a real digital clock. unless you look at it from straight on, you cannot see the time. I will keep it though because after looking at many of the other clocks, it is the only atomic clock that plugs in.

I have been looking for a desk top clock (not too space consuming) with seconds (to time my tooth brushing etc) and with AC powered (do not have to deal with batteries) and with LCD back light (easy to read). But it was harder than I thought to find one. Finally I found this one. It is a winner. First I was worry that the color display may be distractive. But it is not at all. It is pretty pleasant. The display quality is very good. easy to set up even you do not read the manual. Control buttons on the side is a good change from standard in the back(easy to see). Replaceable back up battery is included. Just the right size for desk with large time read out. It is the best desk top clock I have. The only thing I wish is to have more choices of brightness levels. Now it is 10% , 100% or off. Maybe add 30% or 50% would be nice. But even at 10%, it is still readable in day time and is perfect for night time. 100% reduces the contrast. Overall it deserves a five star.

Where do I start? This clock has a VERY narrow viewing angle. Outside of this viewing angle, you cannot see the information on the screen. When I purchased this clock, I had a specific place in mind where I wanted to hang it, and a spot where I wanted it to be visible from. This clock is essentially invisible with this setup. If you plan on hanging the clock on the wall, it will be lopsided. This is because it only has one nail hole on the back, and the cord hangs off the side. The weight of the cord will cause it to hang crooked on the nail. Newton established this when he published his comprehensive theory on gravity; this is nothing new. To fix this, I had to put a nail in the wall at the bottom of the clock, just below the cord. I will say that the time is spot-on, though. Not that it does me any good, because I have to go up to the clock to be able to read it. When it first set, it was an hour ahead, because apparently, you have to tell it which time zone you’re in. That’s not a big deal, though. Ultimately, this clock is getting returned, because it displays the time just about as well as the empty patch of wall right next to it does. I really wanted to like this clock, because for some reason, all atomic clocks are hideous, and this one is less so than most of the others.

It doesn't seem to pick up the signal to keep it updatingto the current time. And with the background not as dark as shown in the description some of the information doesn't show as clear. I tried different light settings but that didn't help. I do like the size and how thin it is and the numbers are a good size I just wish the contrast was better.

Excellent price, great quality, definitely atomic, it works. SETUP: I waited a while for it to sync up, thinking maybe I would have to set it manually but I gave it about 10 minutes and it worked perfectly. PROS: I love that it tells outside temperature and inside moisture. I like the display colors. Takes up hardly any space and has a nice long, lightweight cord, Highly recommended clock at a great price. DON'T USE: I don't use the moon phase but it's interesting. Don't use the darkest dim since I sleep too far away to see it. DIMMER: There are 3 brightness levels. The lowest light level is very low and can only be seen up close. The dimmer location is on top, very easy to use. It has a loud beep, so when I was first setting the clock, I triggered it and the display went dark and I didn't know what I'd done, I thought I broke it! I'm not one to read directions, I just start fiddling with electronics and figure them out. The dimmer is a nice level of lightness for sleep and very easy to read in the far from across the room. The brightness is very bright during daytime. It worked out fine and we are very happy with it.
