Description

The Revolver X2 aluminum hard rolling truck bed cover made with durable aluminum slats that sit flush with the truck bed for a stylish, low profile appearance. The Revolver X2 takes security to the next level with its patented rotational locking rails that secure the cover along the entire length of the truck bed. This cover also features cab and side rail seals to help protect cargo against inclement weather. To provide even more security, the RX2 is secured by locking your truck’s tailgate, giving you the convenience of a roll-up cover, with the security of a hard-fold cover. The cover is great. Really nice finish and the fact that there is no Velcro or snaps is great. No water gets in except for a very small amount right at the tailgate. And I mean a VERY small amount. Installation was pretty easy. I completed it myself in under an hour. Just make sure to watch the entire video first. After installation I did need to tweak it slightly as the tolerances are low on placement. But that just make for great weatherproofing. All in all I would recommend this to anyone thinking about getting a cover for their bed. ... show more

Pattern Name: Revolver X2 | Hard Rolling Size: 6' 4" Bed
The unit itself fit well and looks great. However the workmanship is crude. Some of the metal parts appear to have been ground down by hand and are rough and unfinished. There are sharp edges on the end of the support rails that you can easily get cut with if you're not careful when standing in the bed or loading things in the bed. For the price I expected first class workmanship. Also I have a MOPAR bed extender installed. The bed extender and the cover do not work well together. Before I installed the cover in order to use the bed extender I just had to open the tail gate and flip over the bed extender to use it. Now with the cover installed and rolled up, I have to open the tailgate and remove the bed extender from its mounts and then flip it over and then reinstall it into the mounts. That is because the cover's support rails block the bed extender from flipping over while it is in its mounting bracket. The bed extender can still work. It just takes extra steps to get it to work. It is a little annoying. I checked with BakFlip's support and there is no retrofit kit to make the two units work together. Like I said it looks great. But because of the high price and so so workmanship I can only give it three stars. Don't forget to be careful when working around the tailgate area when the support rails are exposed. ... show more

I really liked the performance of this roll up unit. It provides security and looks good. however I have to downgrade it because after two years of service and excellent maintenance its coming apart and I need to replace it. For a $1000 piece of equipment that is unacceptable. I have had the cheap fabric roll up units last for two and three times that long. Now I have to replace it. Outrageous The failure modes are varied. The fabric strips that run along the underside on each edge of the cover assist with rolling it up but they are glued to the metal and the glue has failed. As a result they are separating from the cover and fall into the bed such that when I go to roll it up I have a mess. They also catch on anything that is in the bed and make it a real challenge to roll up the cover. I was looking at the mess seeing if there is something I can do to address the issue when I found that the sides are also separating. the vinyl cover is apparently also glued to the metal frame along with the rubber edge seals. The edge seals are separating and the vinyl is shrinking and the sides no longer seal fully. Its just totally unacceptable and I highly recommend that the manufacturer either price this unit for a two year life or they make significant changes to the design to prevent these kinds of failures. My next challenge is finding something that works and will hopefully last more than 24 months. ... show more

So far so good. Installation was straight forward although the directions could be a little more clear. Cover works great so far. Very pleased as of now at the performance of the cover time will tell if it is a long term winner.

Great product. Installation was a breeze. No alignment issues as some others reported. Switched to this roll-up from a tri-fold to fit with sports bar and couldn’t be happier. Things in the bed are now more secure than in the cab, and being able to close with the tailgate up is a plus.

rails at each end (tail gate end) came bent, straightened as best as I could, also when I unrolled the cover, the bulkhead weather stripping was all tangled up within the roll, I had to remove it slowly and re-stick it to the end of the panel- so I am not sure how this self stick weather stripping is going to fare over the long haul. The top seems a bit short, 1/4" over gate, and 1/4" short at bulkhead (see pics). some of the rubber weather stripping running down the rails is up and down, not sealed properly, however we are in the middle of winter, so I would assume that it would flatten in summer, again this strip too is self stick, not sure how it will hold up, especially when I start to roll it up more often in good weather. locks great at tailgate, looks awesome as well, but for the price and being built here in USA it should be better. the worst product i have ever bought. for $950 dollars you would think it wouldn’t leak. first cover was shipped by amazon. that cover had cuts on the vinyl cover. bak sent a replacement right away. had that cover on for 9 months. then the new cover the vinyl separated from the aluminum and plastic rails. constantly leaks water. also fit terribly on top of my tailgate. gouged the plastic top part of it. i spent close to a thousand dollars thinking i would have a quality cover. turns out i’m a huge moron. nothing but disappointment. two covers that were defective and a three year warranty. i think i’ll need another 4 to make it through the whole 3 years. i’m averaging 2 covers a year. i took the cover off. very satisfying not looking at that trash ... show more
