So glad I got this!! The TS20 (medium size of the three electric stoves) is super cute, the fake flames look very similar to a gas stove, creating a very cozy atmosphere, and it puts out a good amount of heat. My pets have been fighting over who gets to sit in front of the heater, and they pout when I turn it off at night. Great if you're renting or in an apartment and long for the look and feel of a fireplace or gas stove, and if you're ever lucky enough to move into a place with a fireplace this is the perfect small size for a bedroom. Other reviewers said the legs were hard to put on...yeah, sort of, it takes a few good firm wrenching turns to get the screws started and it's a bit cramped, I didn't bother with the center screws, but it's worth the slightly annoying 5 minutes for assembly.

The Best Electric Fireplace!

I've owned this little electric fireplace for a year now and I LOVE IT! I purchased the 25" Freestanding Stove to put in our en suite master bath for 1.) An extra heat source on those super cold mornings and 2.) Because of the ambiance that it brings to the space! I read a ton of reviews and watched videos to see the flame in action before picking one and and very happy with my purchase. I love that the unit does not get hot anywhere except the bottom where it says "caution hot" so we can safely use it around our pets and use the top of it for some extra storage of a plant or tissues in the bathroom. I love that it comes with a remote. I've never had an issue with it and only use the remote to turn it on and off. If you lose your remote, don't fret! There are buttons just inside the door to turn it on and adjust the settings. There are different heat settings available: you can adjust the temp as needed, you can set it on a timer and you can even adjust the brightness of the flame. It plugs into a standard outlet easy peasy, no special wiring needed. It arrived with only its legs needing to be attached. It was very easy to assemble and move around as needed. (It's quite light!) I don't have any negative points about this fireplace and would 110% recommend it to a friend!

Nice little stove, but a royal pain in the butt to assemble

I purchased this small electric fireplace/stove to use in my upstairs study. It's perfect for the space. It looks beautiful, works well, and the flames are pretty realistic. It makes the room quite cozy. The nameplate on the front is a bit too prominent for my taste and "Suburbs" is a ridiculous name, but this is only a small point. I took off a star for the ridiculous amount of time and effort required to attach the legs to the body of the stove. My husband, who has assembled many items from Amazon, did the work or I would be taking off a couple more stars and the thing would probably still be in pieces. The instructions say that you need a Phillips screwdriver. You do, but this was just the beginning. The main problem is that the shape of the feet make it really hard to get leverage on the screwdriver. Also, one of the feet simply did not fit -- the holes in the foot did not line up with the ones on the stove at all. So he also needed the following: A small drill bit to chase the paint out of the screw holes so the screws would actually fit in the holes Mechanics pliers with the screwdriver to get leverage on the center screw because there is "no f***ing room" Right angled racheting screwdriver to tighten the outside screws (could have probably done with the Phillips, but this one worked better) Finally, a metal file to shape the foot that did fit so that it did fit Also, "the patience of Buddha" An hour later (some of which was spent rummaging around for tools) and some colorful language, patience of Buddha notwithstanding, the stove was assembled, and it is great. Awesome. Adorable in a vintage sort of way that is perfect for our home. But yikes. I'm lucky to be married to a mechanic who has all these tools and knows how to use them, otherwise these legs would never have gotten attached to the stove. It's especially annoying because the legs only add two inches of height. Two. Inches. They're necessary for both safety and aesthetics, but that the company is willing to put customers to all this trouble when they could simply pre-assemble the legs and add two inches to the height of the box does not speak well for them.

Worked great. For a year...

Update: They honored their warranty and I got the replacement. It seems to be working good so far. When it is working it is a great heater. Worked great for a year... then the heating element stopped working. I contacted the company about my warranty as its supposed to be a 2 year warranty. I did nothing to void this. They asked me to unplug it for 30 min and try again. I did that. They asked for me to send a video of the problem. I did that. They asked me to try unplugging it AGAIN for 15 min but in a different outlet. I did that. They wanted a PDF of the invoice through Amazon. I sent it to them. They now want me to forward my original confirmation email from Amazon from a year ago. I clean my emails and I cant find it. I gave them clear evidence of my legitimate purchase by sending that PDF invoice and the order number. I'm still waiting to see if they will help me out but this has been one hell of a run around. I sorta feel like they're messing with me and dont want to honor their warranty. I'm frustrated, and I've been without a heater for three nights. I'm cold and unhappy with this whole situation.

works great and very cute

I actually bought this little fireplace to use outdoors while camping in October. There was a burn ban and the site had electrical power. It was just enough heat sitting near it to keep me comfortable sitting outdoors at night as I like to do. The temperature was in the 40s at night. I bought this instead of a smaller one because it said it was radiant heat and could warm a 1000 sq ft room. I figured that would be enough heat output to help in the outdoors even though its not designed for that (as opposed to a smaller or a little bit cheaper one). It worked perfect and the little glowing fake fire added some degree of ambiance. All you have to do is put the legs on,, which was easy. Very happy with this. I imagine it would work outstanding in a room

Should Be Recalled! Dangerous!! Fire Hazard!! Read reviews!!

We rent and my daughter bedroom is in the partially finished basement. No heating vent is in her room. Her room does not reach above 60 degrees Fahrenheit in the winter months. Invested in this because it mentioned protection from overheating risk which I was very worried about. It was much more expensive and only good reviews back then. Daughter refused to sleep in her cold room so it was a needed purchase. This was our first time ever owning a heater because I’m terrified of having a fire. First winter made our electricity rates double! Noticed the cord would be warm when on which worried me so instructed daughter to keep an eye on it. The plug it was plugged into was new and has been inspected and is functioning fine yet this heater started melting the plate!!! Very dangerous! Now I am blamed for this by our housing authority and landlord. Do not buy!!

Update - Replacement works great

11/30/2020 Update - Amazon let me exchange this with a new one and I've had zero issues so far. It actually supplies a lot of heat. I prefer using it over the gas heat in my apartment because I have no control over the gas heater - it's either on or off and gets too stuff to use for more than 30-45 minutes. I also dig the cozy look of the fire - I've gotten a lot of compliments on it! I just had this delivered today - and it looks great! Except...no heat will blow out. I've contacted the manufacturer, so hopefully I will get some resolution (otherwise I will exchange - I read the reviews and it seems like most people have had no issues). One thing that sucks is you can only contact the manufacturer through email - try as I might, I could not find a phone number and they had no chat box. I'm hoping they reply to my message at all. There are certain things you must do to make sure it works - but it's still failing for me. I've reset by unplugging with the switch off, I've made sure it's the only appliance on the outlet, and the outlet I'm using meets all the requirements. I thought I felt it blow hot air when i first turned it on - but since then, nada.

Assembly unneccessarily difficult

I don't who decided that not bothering to tap the screw holes for the legs was a good idea, but for the record, it isn't. Is this thing any good? I have no idea. I'm still working on putting the 12 screws in. If not for the fact that I own a tap and die set, I'd never get them in at all. The holes are too small and the screws are not self-tapping, and it's hard to get them in because the legs are in the way. If you don't have a tap and die set a very long, thin Phillips screwdriver, and you don't mind losing skin on your knuckles, good luck attaching the legs to this thing. Awful. Edit: After finally getting the screws installed, I'm happy with the product. The flames look realistic, and it puts out a good amount of heat. I'm still disappointed with the poor quality control in the manufacturing, though.
